I think that graphic improvisation leads spontaneously to storytelling: Does an arm barely fit on the canvas? Rip it off. And what do we do with it? I don't know yet. Paint another robot or... we shall see on the fly.

today's Lunchtime art was done just so I could play with color and halftone. drawing was fast, then I went crazy with the tones.
Painted on my iPhone 3g with SketchBookMobile. Inspired by the wonderful art of Alex Maleev on the Iron Man Civil War Trade Paperback that I was just reading recently. After about a decade or so away from comics, I've been delving into them alot more lately, catching up on some excellent work (and stories!)

Holy crap this was hard. I should have given up but I kept beating it with a stick until I was more or less happy.
Tomorrow I may hate it again. I do like his hair a lot...that's something.
