When I'm an Astronaut . . .
First I'll get into my spacesuit.
Then I'll bravely wave good-by.
Next I'll climb into my spacecraft
Built to sail right through the sky!
In command inside the capsule,
I will talk to ground control.
When we've checked out
all the systems,
I'll say, "Let the countdown roll!"
And it's 4-3-2-1 - - blast off - -
With a smile upon my face,
I’ll spin loops around the planets
up, up, up in outer space!
(Poem by Bobbi Katz)
I'm indulging an abstract obsession. Again. :D
The seed image for this was the previous picture in my photostream, "Waterfront Stairway In Winter".
Thank you all so much for the faves and kind comments!
I sometimes fret about the ravages of time when I look into the mirror. I've found it helps to play with selfies until I can see how things could always be much much worse, . . . complete with budding vestigial pedipalps to help me stuff my face. :D

... By John Martyn. A favourite of mine. I have to replace the L.P. gets lost or damaged - It brings back memories of college days. He played at Oxford Brookes SU 24 May 1975
A collage of my own photographs and textures created for The Hypothetical Awards’ 5th ANNUAL MUSIC CHALLENGE
This spruce hen must have been bored, because he danced and played outside of our window for several minutes before flying up into his favorite tree.
Since the world is in such a sad mess at the moment - I thought I'd post this photo to elicit a smile or two from my Flickr friends. We could also take a tip or two from our forest friends, and not live our lives according to the news of the day.
☞ See the original photo in 1st comment below. • Created with the sadly no longer available (November 2014) Amazing Circles tool of the former dumpr.net.
Not my best, but ideal to have a bit of fun in Photoshop.
Just could not resist it.
Thanks for looking

Flowers catch our attention and take way our breath with their beautiful colors. I posted this image days ago in color - but wondered what it would look like in plain old black and white. Well here it is - posted for the Color My World Daily group - "black and white on Sunday." I rather like this version. 😊
We have a huge flock of White Crowned Warblers draining our feeders every day. Snow is melting rapidly, and huge puddles are full of thirsty, and bathing birds. I expect the warblers to take off any day, and head to the tundra where they will build nests on the ground and lay their eggs. Until then, I am really enjoying the sound of their happy chirps.

This spacey abstract started out as a snapshot of a sea star in the waterfront sidewalk window of the Seattle Aquarium.

This is a composite image. I captured the image of the Red-tailed Hawk yesterday morning, and the sky (background) about a month ago. The feathering took a bit of time, and it isn't perfect, but I do like the way it turned out. As with all my images, don't hesitate to give me any constructive critique. That is one of the best ways to grow as a photographer.
Some will say that is a mini-notkalvin, (nasty little things, some say), running across a field. The hand of [insert supreme being of choice here] reaches across to deal a mighty thwack to the back of the little dude's head.
That may be the case. but, even if it is not, we all know one thing:
There's no running in empty fields. Duh.
