These are found in some wave machines, particularly at Letchworth and Great Yarmouth. These Steel chimneys serve from the compressor to the diffuser at the top.

Some home made diffusers. My fingers served as a diffuser here. This photo has been gamma and input-level adjusted.

I wanted a diffuser for my flash, and I was feeling crafty. So, I built one. It's made of cardboard, nice white paper, gaffers tape, duct tape and glue, and it took me about 3 hours to design and build.

What you'll need (or, at least, what I used). Some cardboard, x-acto, self-healing mat, pencil. (Not pictured: nice white paper, straight-edge, glue, sharpie.)

A coworker here was kind to let me borrow his flash diffusers. It does make a difference!

Blends Well With: just about all oils

About:Because of its lovely deep aroma, rose oil has been extensively used in soaps, cosmetics, toiletries, and perfumes for years. Rose diffuser oil has many more wonderful properties than just its scent; in fact, it's one of the best essential oils on the market for combating skin problems and would make a nice addition to wrinkle and dry skin creams. The use of rose essential oil / rose flower essential oil for difisuers or in cosmetics are really wide nowadays. Besides, the use of rose essential oil aromatherapy is welcomed by many people, so the rose essential oil for diffuser in the market are sold well as well. Being a mild antidepressant rose oil can give relief from stress, nerves, palpitations and ease headaches, hay fever, and coughs.

why we found an American WWII era jeep in Tbilisi is not clear. But, given the weather, not a great day for a convertible of any kind. The image looked a little better when I ran it through Photoshop's "diffuser."

I just got this Gary Fong diffuser for my flash. This is supposed to be superior to a ceiling bounce flash because it reduces or eliminates shadows around the eyes. I will compare this picture to a previous one I took with a bounce flash.

In this shot I intentionally set the aperture as open as it could go which is f/4 so I would get depth of field; however I had to focus on an object that "approximately" represented me; therefore the shot is blurry (back of my shirt is in focus). I need to work on my remote shutter extension!

+ diffuse glow.

I bought something to stop me dying when I jumped down, only I overstepped and fell anyway. Fortunately, I landed on a ledge...

this is diffuse lighting because you can not tell exactly where the light is coming from and it is mostly all around. The light source is the sun yet it creates shadows they are mostly equal all over and even though this could be taken as direct i think that it is more diffuse.

While trying to achieve depth of field on the leaf behind...I accidentally saw this amazing looking thing. Suddenly, I got up and started working to get this..And the end result is here.

I seriously don't know what to call this, but I like it now. :)

this is a diffuser panel from the fluorescent fixture that was near my desk. I raked a pepper across the bottom, picked up the macro lens, shifted the white balance a bit and, well, I'm now caught up in the circles of confusion...

Hi Folks,

Went to Admiralty Park this morning with a bunch of regular macro kakis, unfortunately the session ends early when rain comes and we have to scurry for cover -.-" Nonetheless, here's some shots to share taken this morning~!!

I'm using an old lamp shade to diffuse the light, gives a nice effect of the different colors

For the 365 days group, day 77 and for those that find me too dark. Ha.

For the PSE group, Smart Fix and Diffuse Filter. Love the shadows of the hair on my forehead. That's part of the original shot.
