Dear Friends of Ecuador, my Glioblastoma is degrading rapidly. I had a wonderful life but much more to learn. All the best for Ecuador and this wonderful planet. My original photos and videos are available from Heinz Schneider, Uni Basel.

This is a very simple, but very effective diffuser I have used for a most of the images taken with the 100mm macro lens you see on my Photostream this year. I was intending to write it up but haven't got round to it. These photos describe it.
My Imperial Beauty Mulan doll has been fully deboxed. She is posed standing, supported by the included custom display stand. She is photographed from various angles, illuminated by diffuse natural light.
My Imperial Beauty Mulan doll, released in 1998, the year of the release of the original animated movie Disney's Mulan. She is a Disney Collector Doll, produced by Mattel. She was the second doll in the Film Premiere Edition series. She is posable 11 1/2'' doll with a spectacularly beautiful outfit and accessories. The box was shrink wrapped, in near mint condition, with untouched seals. She comes with red satin slippers, a custom doll stand, a Certificate of Authenticity, a warranty and a reply card.
Here is the text of the box notes:
Full of fantasy and rich with tradition, Imperial Beauty(TM) Mulan is embellished with icons of both her character and culture. This beautiful Collector Doll was created in celebration of the premiere of Disney's epic film, MULAN.
Mulan's dramatic Chinese gown is adorned with her faithful protector, Mushu, while golden dragons and a Phoenix crown her head. As symbols of her determined spirit, Strength and Discipline weights hang from her regal wrap. Around her neck she wears the emperor's necklace, for she has brought honor to her family!
Imperial Beauty(TM) Mulan is Second in a series of Disney Collector Dolls launched with the premiere of the film. Each Film Premiere Edition(TM) doll is showcased in a fashion that captures the glamour of opening night.
My newly acquired Disney Collector Dolls, by Mattel. They are the Summer Seas Ariel (2000) and the Imperial Beauty Mulan (1998). Thanks to my Flickr friends UnbrokenSchiße and They Call Me Obsessed for suggesting that I get these beautiful dolls. It came up during the discussion of my latest Disney Collector Doll, the Aqua Fantasy Ariel (1997). I have two other Disney Collector Dolls, The Evil Queen and Maleficent, both part of the Great Villains Collection (1998).

These diffuser oils are incredible and very long lasting (up to 2 years!). They last long, because they have a very low alcohol content. They are original Island Basics fragrances and designer fragrances. They come in a box.
Driving along hwy 9 on my way to Drumheller and the sun just starting rising casting a great soft light through a patch of morning fog.
My buddy Hans drew this rendering while we were making the new diffuser for the rear of the car. It's pretty much spot on. Amazing job dude.

I got a Dex 25W LED desk lamp from Habitat to act as my light source. It has a pretty even illumination and the bulb lasts for ages.
I initially made a cone out of sugar paper to try to prevent as much light leakage as possible.

This is a simple Do-It-Yourself diffuser made from a 1 gallon milk jug. The diffuser is attached to the chin of the pop-up flash on my Canon T3i DSLR using a rubber band (or hair elastic band). I suspect that this technique will work on other DSLR's with a popup flash.
I used kitchen scissors to cut out the diffuser from the milk jug.
The reflector really seems to improve the quality of the skin on portraits and reduces some of the glare. It also gives the photo a little warmer tone. You can also layer a couple of diffuser on top of each other for a little more effect although one seems to do fine and doesn't decrease the flash range much.
I included a couple of sample shots in my photostream.
