MÁV M61 (maniufactured in Sweden 1963) - Nohab diesel engine in the Museum of Transportation in Budapest.

Beautyful!

Sadly these engines were junked out in 2000.

 

This one was actually damaged in an accident in 1999 after that the unbroken part was given to he museum.

This is a 16-cylinder diesel engine.

 

I think it's a CAT, but not sure. What do you think?

ICE 6450 SD40 engine "City of Welcome" at the Rougemere Yard Dearborn, MI.

After a long trip this engine here arrives from Yala, a city in the deep south of Thailand.

I enjoyed the fashioned look to my opinion, compared to the other diesel engines I saw in the station.

Short freight with three 6400 class diesels and lime stone cars passes at Loenersloot on its way to Corus / Tata Steel at Beverwijk.

In no need of the electric wires overhead a class 25 diesel locomotive heads north on the LNWR main (slow) line at Leighton Buzzard on Wednesday 4th Feb 1981.
