Am 01.08.2022 fuhr die Ludmilla von Cargounit durch Tarnowskie Góry, sie hatte wohl gerade Spritt zum TanQuid Poland Terminal geliefert und fuhr leer wieder zurück.
Etwa 40 Minuten nach diesem Bild gab es ein starkes Unwetter.

Built in 1874, the shops and yard at Burnham, located a couple of miles south of downtown Denver, Colorado, were the main shop facilities for Rio Grande. In this later view on December 7, 2015, Union Pacific locomotives are repaired and serviced in the newer Diesel House opened in 1965. Lined up on the north end of Track Nos. 1 to 4 are four locomotive models from Electro-Motive Division and General Electric are represented by EMD SD70M No. 4698, EMD SD70ACe No. 8543, GE AC4400CW-CTE No. 5901 and GE ES44AC No. 7812. UP closed the entire Burnham Shops facility in February 2016. The tracks are gone and these buildings sit as neglected and trashed, empty shells.

Another tenant of the Amtrak/Metro North Northeast Corridor line was Conrail. Conrail had a nocturnal local that I never seen that ran to Bridgeport, CT. But in the day, if you were lucky enough, you could catch an SENH/NHSE or a BAL-101 on the same as stretch of track as yesterday's post of the P&W. Here we see NHSE at West Haven, CT heading for Devon Jct to run the NH freight main to Hopewell Jct, NY, and then over the Beacon Branch to get on Metro North's Hudson Line to make the trip to Selkirk.

Diesel Powa... -A small village where there was nothing special to see.... we had to go through there to drive up the hill in the middle of nowhere. Between the meadows lay a forest with these beautiful abandoned trucks....there was really a lot of them. Great to see nature taking back these once so powerful trucks.... The power of nature.

D3462 was built in 1957 in Darlington, and spent the next dozen years shunting in Hither Green and Norwood Junction (both London suburbs, and near to where I grew up). She then moved to Crewe for a spell, then down to Bristol Bath Road, before being transferred down to Cornwall at the St. Blazey Depot.
Decommissioned in the mid 80's she was then restored and used on the West Somerset heritage line.
I have a soft spot for these diesels, purely due to my son, who used to carry the die cast toy "Diesel" from the Thomas the Tank Engine's stories around with him everywhere as a toddler.

De prijzen op het digitale informatiebord van het Esso-tankstation kunnen eenvoudig aangepast worden. Dat is een gelukje voor de uitbater van de benzinepompen want de prijzen wijzigen dagelijks en stijgen voortdurend.
De tram van lijn 042 in Krefeld rijdt wegens spoorvernieuwing tijdelijk door de Philadelphiastraße. De Westdeutsche Zeitung schreef in 2019; "Die Philadelphiastraße ist eine der hässlichsten Straßen Krefelds". Dat vind ik als tramliefhebber wel meevallen. Het is een klassieke tramstraat zonder al te veel opsmuk waar de tram op ouderwetse wijze doorheen rijdt zonder dat vluchtheuvels en onnodige opleuk voor een onrustig beeld zorgen.
