In November 2024, the BCCK supported Scottish Development International (SDI) in bringing 12 Scottish food & drink companies to Korea.

The BCCK supported SDI in organizing for Hyundai Department Store, Homeplus, Conrad Seoul, Kurly and Wine & More to invite the companies to tour their stores and meet with their management.

80 Korean buyers and influencers came to meet with the Scottish Food & Drink companies in an exclusive session at the British Embassy Seoul, followed by a Scottish-themed reception at the Ambassador’s Residence for 100 guests. Guests were treated to performances by a bagpiper, a Scottish-themed buffet and mixologist-made cocktails featuring alcohol from Scotland. The event featured speeches by HMA Colin Crooks LVO, British Ambassador to South Korea, and Neil Mclnnes, Head of Southeast Asia / APAC Lead for Consumer Industries of SDI.

Scottish Development International and the Scottish companies also had their own booth at COEX Food Week 2024.

BCCK sincerely thanks all attendees and supporters for contributing to the success of this project. Your enthusiasm and collaboration made this journey a meaningful experience.

If you are interested in the BCCK’s services to support your delegation to Korea or to meet Korean partners, please get in touch.

United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) in partnership with Universidad de los Andes (UNIANDES) convenes a three-day conference on reducing inequality, held in Bogotá, Colombia, 5-7 October 2022.

As new research uncovers the many negative impacts that high inequality can have, a consensus is emerging that achieving SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities is a global goal of critical importance.

The programme addresses major themes in inequality across keynote lectures, parallel sessions, and a policy dialogue event. Speakers include leading scholars of inequality, including Raquel Fernández and Francisco H. G. Ferreira. In addition, the VII Colombian Economic Congress forms part of the programme.

One of the largest private real estate developments in the United States, the Hudson Yards consists of 16 planned structures with residences, hotels, office buildings, a shopping centre, and a cultural facility. It promises to be a prime location with access to a brand new Subway stop on the 7th line, the Jacob Javits convention center nearby, and unobstructed views of the Hudson river. It also covers most of the West Side Yard, a large railroad yard operated by the NYC Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) that is otherwise a large piece of real estate that, until now, did not serve the space needs of the city.

This flyer was limited by the lack of actual images - the client was cracking a new market and only had conceptual 3D renderings to work with - but the focus on 'making your dreams come true' makes the conceptual images work for the design. Part of a range of items developed for this new market push.

Artists, teachers, and staff new to Summer Arts & Learning Academy participated in their first professional development this weekend. The group discussed and learned trauma-informed practices, responsive classroom strategies, and saw co-teaching and arts integration in action.

The field at the back, once home to horses, sheep and geese, now being levelled to receive more houses, the latest phase of Holly Court, the development originally to have been on the former Greenmeadow Police Training College, but now crept down to Old Cwmbran.

The mantra is "we need houses", but much of the new build activity is geared towards pulling in commuters from Bristol and Cardiff. This pushes up prices and does little to help local first time buyers. It also increased pollution and congestion on the M4.
