I brought a parachute to a running club that took place in a local market near my volunteer house every Monday night. Seeing the children all work together and express so much enjoyment has shown me the beauty of community development. Empowering youth to be free and creative can inspire them to head into the direction of a brighter future.

Agribusiness Development Activity is aimed at the transformation from ineffective subsistence farming to commercial, profitable agribusiness through the disbursement of matching grants and the provision of technical and market information assistance. The project’s master plan was approved by Wandsworth Council and the Mayor of London in 2010, while the Secretary of State approved the project in August 2011. The entire project is expected to continue until 2025.
The overall site covers an area of 42 acres (17ha), of which 18 acres (7.28ha) will be public space and six acres will be used to create a river side park. The redevelopment will involve the construction of 3,444 new residential homes, 517 affordable homes, restoration of the power station itself, construction of a new tube station, 2.5 million square feet of office and retail space, a library, a medical centre, and childcare facilities.

South Korea ready to build smart city at New Chandigarh. South Korea today expressed its willingness to provide technology as well as finance to build the first of its kind smart city in India at New Chandigarh besides providing LED and safe city solutions for Ludhiana and Amritsar. Korea Telecom Director Ilhwan Park disclosed that his company already had a business model in place under which loan could be given to investors from the Exim bank in Korea. He said the company was ready to consider other business models including consultancy as well as installing and running of smart cities and LED and safe city projects.
Giving detail of the Songdo smart city which is part of the Incheon free economic zone, officials disclosed that 317 cameras installed in the city monitored air and water levels besides monitoring transport and giving real time information to people about accidents or traffic jams. They said besides this all information about incoming vehicles was assessed to know if any vehicle had been involved in a crime.
