This public forum, held on 28 November 2017, focused on findings and policy lessons stemming from recent research on inequality in Mozambique, with the ultimate aim of promoting innovative policies for inclusive growth.
The programme was build on research presented at the conference on poverty and inequality in Mozambique taking place on 27 November 2017.
The Port of Olympia is hoping to develop a large piece of property on the eastern edge of the Port Peninsula. It would house a new Children’s Museum, a new administrative building and education center for the LOTT Wastewater Treatment Facility, and possibly a hotel and office buildings. But the peninsula lies at a low elevation, and the city predicts it will be the area most affected by sea level rise. At the Community Activity Center on Camp Casey May 29, civilians and Soldiers of the U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I attend a professional development session geared especially to those in leadership positions. The audience of 145 leaders heard briefings on a range of topics that included customer service, mentoring subordinates, administrative and maintenance matters, and leadership itself. Speakers included Col. John M. Scott, Commander, USAG Red Cloud and Area I, and other garrison officials. The afternoon was capped by an indoor supper of hot dogs and hamburgers.

The new, multiple-use Skills Development Center here was opened to the public following a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Sept. 7, 2012 in front of the facility. The multipurpose facility includes an Auto Skills Center, Arts and Crafts Center, Military Clothing Sales and Army Supply Center in one complex.

Approximately 70 students from Naperville Central, Waubonsie Valley, Neuqua Valley, Kaneland, Oswego, Dwight Township, Lockport Township, Glen Brook South and Byron high schools, and Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences participated in a recent Floral Design Career Development event at College of DuPage. Students were challenged to recreate arrangements and corsages from provided images.
The main road outside Paraiso is a strong contrast to the neighborhood just around the bus station. Some very nice looking new housing right across the pedestrian bridge (which goes over the swamp) from the bus station.

Hajvery University (HU) Career Development Society (CDS) held an event for the motivation and emotional support of the youth mainly the students of Hajvery University. The event catered to anybody who cared to attend and listen to the wonderful speaker, be it the youth or even a 70 year old could benefit from the pearls of wisdom scattered on that wonderful day. The speaker was Qaiser Abbas. Pakistan’s highest paid motivational speaker and probably a pioneer of what he does in our country. And the author of International Best-seller ‘Tick Tick Dollar’.
The environment was electric and for the first time in a while everybody attending the event was expecting quite nice things to come their way. This was the reason the auditorium was packed. The theme was DREAM BIG AND HAVE BELIEF. His speech was highly motivational he said nobody in your life tells you your potential but always it’s you who should belief in his own potential. That belief led you to dream big one night and bigger the next night. But dreaming was not everything, to back up those dreams; you have to work day and night, tirelessly and ferociously towards his goals. Students energies renewed, their picture about their selves totally changed and changed for the good.

In 1987, Asociación Pro-Hogar Permanente de Parálisis Cerebral (APC) was awarded a five-year grant of $241,310 to develop a facility employing 45 individuals and providing vocational training to another 70. It is about time this town had a facelift and dragged screaming into the 21st Century. More facilities for water sports and other events and for god’s sake get some decent accommodation. The older end I'm sure have nostalgic memories. But it's the future and the new generation’s in the town that will secure its success. You saw it here first guys
Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex

The Venus Station is a research and development facility for the Deep Space Network. It is used to test advanced tracking and data acquisition equipment and techniques before deployment throughout the DSN. The station opened in 1962 with a 26-meter AZ EL antenna and was named to commemorate the first detection of the planet Venus by radar facilities at Goldstone in 1961. Radio experiments are conducted at the station to develop high-power transmitters, low-noise antenna feeds, radio frequency amplifiers, and systematically tuned receivers for precise spacecraft navigation and data acquisition. A 34-meter high-efficiency beam-waveguide antenna was completed in 1991 to facilitate development work at higher frequencies to support anticipated DSN requirements for the future. Additional station activities include participation in Planetary Radio Astronomy, Goldstone Solar System Radar (GSSR) and High Resolution on Microwave Survey. The 26 meter antenna was decommissioned in 1991.

Goldstone is one of three complexes around the world known as the Deep Space Network (DSN) established to provide the ability to communicate with spacecraft; not only in orbit around the earth, but also in the farther reaches of our solar system. The Deep Space Network complexes, placed 120° apart, provide constant communication with spacecraft as the Earth rotates. In determining the exact position for the site in California, a remote location, free from radio signal interference, was needed. The remote location of the Mojave Desert in California, near the old mining town of Goldstone, was determined to be an optimal location and in 1958 the first antenna was built. Facilities near Madrid, Spain and Canberra, Australia complete the Deep Space Network providing 360 degree coverage for spacecraft tracking.
