At the meeting of the deputy commissioners, district revenue officers and tehsildars, I was informed that after the recent decision to do away with the No Objection Certificates, the sale deeds in Punjab have shown a robust increase of 10 to 15 % . The state is contemplating the setting up of cashless tehsils to ensure more transparency into day to day working besides facilitating the common masses by minimizing their interaction with revenue offices as a part of unique governance reforms initiated in the state.

The land is adjacent to the Balm Scrub Nature Preserve (ELAPP land, shown in green). It includes substantial wetlands and tributaries of the Bullfrog Creek system, along with land designated by the county as "Significant & Essential Wildlife Habitat."
