Wikimedia's annual development community meet-up — the Wikimedia Hackathon — was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 2013 from 24-26 May. It was a long weekend filled with hacking anything related to MediaWiki or one of the Wikimedia projects (and sometimes other things, too). The Hackathon was completely open to seasoned and new developers, as well as people working on MediaWiki, tools, pywikipedia, gadgets, extensions, templates, etc.

I indulged in a little photo-geekery just to see how noticeable the effects of stand-development are compared to normal agitation.
Here we have an overview scanned at 3200dpi; the left is stand-dev (1+100 for 55mins), while the right was the recommended 1+50 for 7mins agitated 5x every 30s.
There was a difference in overall contrast so I've normalized the levels as best as possible.
Here we see the effect of acutance on the lines at edges of slate sheets and rock texture.

A good quality photographic card from Brighton. The core of the hospital was designed by Charles Barry (who later designed the Houses of Parliament) in the early 19th century, it enlarged progressively and became Royal in 1911. It still serves as the core of the modern hospital in Brighton, though the management want to knock down anything old. I saw patients there in the early 1990's, after an invigorating drive down from London in Mick Bewick's XR4i.

I haven't done much film developing lately, but I had a hankering for some analog. I'm lazy, so I'm doing stand development in Rodinal 1:100.
This was an old roll of Fomapan 100 which, sadly, I screwed up when I didn't seat one of the reels correctly in my developing tank. Thus the beckoning black void.
