President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (09) evening vested with the public the Weras River storm water drainage system and the environmental development programme in the vicinity of the Bellanwila and Aththidiya marshy lands area. After unveiling the plaque amidst the chanting of Pirith by Maha Sanga, the president joined an observation tour of the project. People gathered at the location did not forget to greet their leader too.

The Seoul brand I·SEOUL·U celebrated its first anniversary of declaration on October 28th.
“I·SEOUL·U” was created through a citizens’ vote, and was declared to be the new Seoul brand on October 28th last year.
On October 28th, the first anniversary of the declaration of I·SEOUL·U, events for citizens were held at Seoul Plaza, where citizens could learn about the meaning of “I·SEOUL·U” and the history of development through the participation of the citizens.
Flash mob performances took place at Seoul Plaza and Yeouido Hangang Park, offering fantastic spectacles. In addition, a “Secret box” event was hosted to promote Seoul and the Seoul brand to tourists from abroad, and they participated in quiz events and received gifts.
Potential resident Bernice Barrow helps to lay the foundation stone at Pannel Croft Village in Newtown, Birmingham. The Village is scheduled to open in Spring 2013.

There's a $500 fine for walking on the dunes. But bulldozing them away to build a half million dollar house .... that's OK. I know, it's my fault as much as anyone's, since I keep coming back here year after year and renting the houses they build (though I don't rent the ones that are built in the dunes).

Travel from Karachi to Nagarparkar 489 km, 7 hours 26 minutes drive. Arrive in Nargarparkar May 7th, 2012 for overnight stay before 500 Solar LED Lantern distribution to 500 families of Bhako, Kharoro and Vekasar Villages.
These villages are only couple of miles from the India border, Nagarparkar area of Thar desert. Majority of people are Hindus.

Not one of the several pictures of this series included our entire bodies. They were also all at an angle so I had to rotate the pictures 10-15 degrees. I am literally thinking of putting together a brief presentation on how to take good pictures to also deliver.
