Normally the leaves of this fern (Osmunda gregalis, Osmundaceae) start to develope at the beginning of may in my country.
This is my first born, Zephy, transformed to a whimsicle setting made by RubyBlossom.
I also used what is called the "Orton Effect" inspired by OpalFire2 who directed me to the right place to find out how to do this, and inspired my with her own work.
p.s. - My foal was starting to "molt" in this photo - at about 2-3 months old they start to loose their baby fuzz for a sleek adult coat. They start at their nose and eyes, then work their way out, so Zef looks a little funny in this shot.
Don't you just love the way people share and inspire up here?
I am trying to force my creativity muscles to start working to keep moving forward in photographic editing, something that is easier said than done since I was never encouraged by teachers to develope an artistic side since I was hopeless and drawing and painting.
shame on them!!

I've been trying out some new post processing techniques lately, mostly playing with curves. I think, maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to develope a "style." I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Designed by Tony Rudd for the new 3 litre Grand Prix formula, BRM started the season with an enlarged version of the older engine, in a P261 chassis twhile the ambitous H16 engine was in developement he new cars coming in for the final 3 races of the season,
The H16 engine was virtually two 1.5 litre V8's with the V flatened out, one laid above the other and the two crankshafts geared together, to develope 400bhp at 11000 revs.
The H16 proved rather unreliable, but this is the most successful of the P83 H16 chassis', this car made 16 Grand Prix, finishing in 7, and scoring points for driver Mike Spence on four occassions.

Twilight cupcakes have been hugely popular this weekend. Had to develope a quick range at short notice.
Hope to develope it further when I get some spare time.
After being 100% on team Edward since reading the books many moons ago.

DailyShoot: Use strong converging lines in a photograph today. It's your choice whether or not to show the vanishing point.
I really thought about this challenge as I wanted to really challenge myself in produce an interesting photo. The I thought of my old Chess set that is made of marble; and how the grid makes for nice converging lines. Now to come up with what I thought would be a good angle to develope the converging lines on a shallow battlefield. I am really happy with the dark moody feel I produced on this image and I hope you are too.
Enjoy and remember to comment and critique.

The Apollo wieghs between 1100 to 1200kg dependant on specification. It is mid-engined, rear wheel drive two-seater constructed on a tubular chromoly frame, with fiberglass or optional carbon fiber body panels. The light metal cylinder heads have five valves per cylinder, four overhead camshafts, VarioCam Direct variable valve timing on the intakes, and hydraulic valve clearance compensation. The double-flow exhaust system has four oxygen sensors to monitor the gas mixture, and a 3-way catalytic converter. Modern controls include an on-board diagnostic system, eight-coil electronic ignition, sequential multipoint fuel injection, and an electronic (drive by wire) accelerator system. There are three versions of the engine available, Base with 641bhp, Sport 690bhp and the race version with 789bhp
In August 2012 Gumpert entered into Administration though production continues with the company attending the 2013 Geneva Motor Show returning to full production thanks to much-needed investment.

The mirror is broke, Im thinking I should get it fixed. I carried this with me lots of places, it was used on yearbook staff for the two years I was on it, I used it in my first photography class as a jr. In high school. It felt very natural that the entire thing was manual, I cared so much about each picture I had taken. I was always so excited to develope my own roll in class or could hardly wait for it to be developed.
Sunbeam Tiger LeMans Coupe (1964) Engine 4727cc V8 Ford
Race Number 80 Tony Eckford + Matt Neal
SUNBEAM SET

Inspired by Carroll Shelbys efforts in shoehorning a big Ford V8 into the AC Ace to develope the Cobra, Rootes decided to take the same path with their four cylinder Alpine, the project was known as Thunderbolt before the adaptation of the Tiger moniker. Assembled by Jensen Motors and introduced in 1964, the Tiger kept the Alpine's basic layout but featured a stronger gearbox and rear axle plus rack-and-pinion steering.
The Tiger was introduced in April 1964 but ahead of launch, the factory had already embarked on developing the Tiger for racing and rallying, with one of the targets being the 1964 LeMans 24 hour race. Three Tiger Fastback Coupes were prepared by the Rootes Competition Department one to act as a developement mule while the other two would be the race cars. The racer's attractive coupé body was the work of Ron Wisdom, one of Rootes stylists. Up to the 'A' post the body was essentially the same as the production car's, while the raked windscreen created a lower roofline leading to the fastback rear section with a Kamm tail. Once the shape had been finalised, Williams & Pritchard were commissioned to make the aluminium bodies, construction was contracted to Brian Lister with the chosen engine a 260ci Ford V8 (4260cc). The first tests on the completed cars revealed serious suspension issues, but their was no time to address the issues before May, LeMans test days. Drivers reported handling shortcomings, overheating brakes and low oil pressure in slower corners, returning to the UK efforts were made to address the problems before the cars were flown to France. During the race the rushed development soon showed with the first car retiring with piston failure after three hours and the second car retiring after nine hours with a broken crankshaft.
In early 1965 both race cars were purchased by Alan Frazer Racing Team, and ongoing developement finally gave the cars race winning potential, after that the cars went their own separate ways and along the way aquired the Tigers later 4728cc V8.
Many thanks for a fantabulous

Eagle Ford T2G (1966) Engine 4200cc V8
Entrant/Driver: Doug Magnon
The All American Eagle racing team was formed by Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby in 1964, to contest both Formula One and Champ/Indy Car with the Formula One team (known as Anglo American Eagle) running from Rye, East Sussex and the Champ Cars from Santa Ana, California . The team ran a Lotus38 in the 1965 Indianapolis 500.
Hiring British designer Len Terry to develope their own 1966 car. The resulting Ford-powered Eagle T2G was codeveloped with the Coventry Climax powered Eagle T1G for Formula 1, later using a specially developed Harry weslake engine.
The T2G raced in the 1966 Indianapolis 500 but was not a great sucess, but bigger things were on the horizon for the team on both sides of the Atlantic.
