Last light of the day on the oft-photographed Dutch windmill in Fulton,IL.While my wife was taking another(one was fine for me,thank you!)trek along the bike path along the Mississippi,I sat at a park bench and watched this scene slowly develope.
The De Immigrant was finished in 2001,manufactured by and built by Dutch millwrights.It is fully operational,and its grinding stones take up 3 floors of the structure.Wheat flour ground by the windmill is sold at several locations,including the new visitors center,located across the street from the windmill and its surrounding park.

The M1 was originally built by Lamborghini in an agreement with BMW to develope a racing car that could also be marketed to the public. and became the only mid-engined mass produced BMW. The body was styled by Giugiaro in Italy. The engine a twin-cam M88/1 3.5 ltr. 6 cylinder with Kugelfischler fuel injection was used in a South African version of the 1984-85 BMW 745 (209 units), the E24 M6 and M635CSi and the E28 M5.. The street version of the M1 gave 273 bhp and a top end of 160 mph while the Turbo racers got 850 bhp, Total production of 456. In racing the M1 won the Group championship in 1984 and the Procar BMW M1 series supported Formula One 1979 + 1980 driven by the current grand prix drivers. This was taken in the same location as the mud shots. Waiting for the sunset to develope while Scout, tied to a tree branch, yipped, cried, howled and barked nearby. There is nothing more enjoyable then the serenity of a sitting near a body of water on a beautiful Spring evening watching the sun slowly paint the skies with a howling banshee serenading you from afar. I was half expecting the cops to show up thinking I was torturing him. When I finally released him, he dragged me as fast as he could back to the car. Apparently Scout and I differ on our ideas of how best to spend a Spring evening.
This was taken along the banks of the Connecticut River in South Hadley, Massachusetts about a mile above the Holyoke dam. The view is of Mt. Tom on the Holyoke side of the river.

This one is for you Gail, my butt practically froze off snapping this.... I climbed over the river wall and down over the rocks to get to the water's edge. God it was nasty- I only managed a few shots before my hands were too cold to work the camera. And the wind was so bitterly cold- it sent me scrambling for my truck pretty quick, long before the best sunset colors could develope.... rats!

Normally the leaves of this fern (Osmunda gregalis, Osmundaceae) start to develope at the beginning of may in my country.
This is my first born, Zephy, transformed to a whimsicle setting made by RubyBlossom.
I also used what is called the "Orton Effect" inspired by OpalFire2 who directed me to the right place to find out how to do this, and inspired my with her own work.
p.s. - My foal was starting to "molt" in this photo - at about 2-3 months old they start to loose their baby fuzz for a sleek adult coat. They start at their nose and eyes, then work their way out, so Zef looks a little funny in this shot.
Don't you just love the way people share and inspire up here?
I am trying to force my creativity muscles to start working to keep moving forward in photographic editing, something that is easier said than done since I was never encouraged by teachers to develope an artistic side since I was hopeless and drawing and painting.

I've been trying out some new post processing techniques lately, mostly playing with curves. I think, maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to develope a "style." I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Designed by Tony Rudd for the new 3 litre Grand Prix formula, BRM started the season with an enlarged version of the older engine, in a P261 chassis twhile the ambitous H16 engine was in developement he new cars coming in for the final 3 races of the season,
The H16 engine was virtually two 1.5 litre V8's with the V flatened out, one laid above the other and the two crankshafts geared together, to develope 400bhp at 11000 revs.
The H16 proved rather unreliable, but this is the most successful of the P83 H16 chassis', this car made 16 Grand Prix, finishing in 7, and scoring points for driver Mike Spence on four occassions.
