Witness list: Bush-Cheney Administration continues along its destructive path-in documented violation of national and international law. Democracy Now!

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice today told enthralled schoolgirls how she loves shopping - and has no presidential ambitions.

On a visit to Perth’s exclusive Mercedes College this morning, Rice told the schoolgirls she has no ambition to be US president and prefers mountain holidays to lying on the beach.

[Rice will always have a job with the Bush family (she served the father, too) or with Chevron-Texaco Oil (where she worked between Bushes). Rice’s selfless renderings to the white and wealthy have earned her a lifetime of…more of the same. Should she crack under the weight of her own and her masters’ lies – as sometimes seems imminent – there is a commodious attic in one of the Bush domiciles where “Condi” can be safely stored.]

Destructive Leadership: The Aftermath of the Tempest

A healthy leader–follower relationship relies on trust, respect, competency, and commitment to the organization. A leader has the power to influence and shape the employee’s job experience and the organizational culture. Destructive leaders, however, abuse their power by using coercion to manipulate for personal gain, and employ fear as a motivator. The negative impacts of a leader’s destructive behaviors are detrimental and painful to the followers in an organization, and the long-term impact on corporate culture can be costly. Followers are pivotal to the success of good and bad leaders. In Dr. Martin’s study on the Millennial generation as followers, she found they were adversely affected by destructive leaders. Specifically, they felt devalued, participated in unethical behavior induced by fear, lost faith in the organization because it implicitly condoned leaders’ bad behaviors, or chose to retaliate against these leaders. Destructive leadership will perpetuate until followers and organizations stop enabling the destructive behaviors and take action by educating, training, and empowering the workforce to be active participants.

About my pictures:

Since 2014 I've been documenting the daily, destructive, poisonous chemtrail activity in the Dayton, Ohio area -- home of the notorious Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (visited by every important person on Earth, and even a few Aliens ;-) -- and apparently from my photo and video documentation, Chemtrail Central. This area has been getting chemtrailed on a massive, daily basis and is being conducted, as they say, “in plain sight”.

However, this area isn’t special in that regard. The massive chemtrailing is going on across the USA (and other countries), as evidenced in abundance on FlickR and many other sites. This incredible not-so-secret Government program, which itself is expensive and dangerous, spoils not only blue skies, but poisons our air, water and soil to unknown levels. Regardless of the purpose, weather control/weather as a weapon/mind control, it really amounts to a crime against humanity in my opinion.

In response, I have posted thousands of full-resolution images (15,000+!), documenting the overwhelming evidence of this crime on Flickr:

The Intacom programme is a series of projects based on the development of robotic inspection systems that is being led by TWI’s Advanced Non-destructive Testing Centre in Port Talbot, South Wales. The programme’s overall aim is to reduce the cost of inspection of complex geometry components for the aerospace industry. The first phases of the project delivered a prototype automated inspection cell using two 6-axis robot arms to inspect highly curved components in a fraction of the time usually taken by other automated NDT systems. It incorporated custom developed advanced ultrasonic testing technology to provide 3D imaging of parts that, in many cases, could not be inspected in any other way.

Hurricane Sandy (also unofficially known as "Superstorm Sandy") was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season, as well as the second-costliest hurricane in United States history. Classified as the eighteenth named storm, tenth hurricane and second major hurricane of the year, Sandy was a Category 3 storm at its peak intensity when it made landfall in Cuba.[1] While it was a Category 2 storm off the coast of the Northeastern United States, the storm became the largest Atlantic hurricane on record (as measured by diameter, with winds spanning 1,100 miles (1,800 km)).[2][3] Estimates as of March 2014 assess damage to have been over $68 billion (2013 USD), a total surpassed only by Hurricane Katrina.[4] At least 286 people were killed along the path of the storm in seven countries.[5]

Sandy developed from a tropical wave in the western Caribbean Sea on October 22, quickly strengthened, and was upgraded to Tropical Storm Sandy six hours later. Sandy moved slowly northward toward the Greater Antilles and gradually intensified. On October 24, Sandy became a hurricane, made landfall near Kingston, Jamaica, re-emerged a few hours later into the Caribbean Sea and strengthened into a Category 2 hurricane. On October 25, Sandy hit Cuba as a Category 3 hurricane, then weakened to a Category 1 hurricane. Early on October 26, Sandy moved through the Bahamas.[6] On October 27, Sandy briefly weakened to a tropical storm and then restrengthened to a Category 1 hurricane. Early on October 29, Sandy curved north-northwest and then[7] moved ashore near Brigantine, New Jersey, just to the northeast of Atlantic City, as a post-tropical cyclone with hurricane-force winds.[1][8]

In Jamaica, winds left 70% of residents without electricity, blew roofs off buildings, killed one, and caused about $100 million (2012 USD) in damage. Sandy's outer bands brought flooding to Haiti, killing at least 54, causing food shortages, and leaving about 200,000 homeless; the hurricane also caused two deaths in the Dominican Republic. In Puerto Rico, one man was swept away by a swollen river. In Cuba, there was extensive coastal flooding and wind damage inland, destroying some 15,000 homes, killing 11, and causing $2 billion (2012 USD) in damage. Sandy caused two deaths and damage estimated at $700 million (2012 USD) in The Bahamas. In Canada, two were killed in Ontario and an estimated $100 million (2012 CAD) in damage was caused throughout Ontario and Quebec.[9]

In the United States, Hurricane Sandy affected 24 states, including the entire eastern seaboard from Florida to Maine and west across the Appalachian Mountains to Michigan and Wisconsin, with particularly severe damage in New Jersey and New York. Its storm surge hit New York City on October 29, flooding streets, tunnels and subway lines and cutting power in and around the city.[10][11] Damage in the United States amounted to $65 billion (2013 USD).[12]

Towards a modeling of World Competitiveness Cluster…

Can one to imagine that our World, in its global, is able a day go out of the crisis, in which it gets stuck everyday a little more?

The world economical crisis, the persistent social conflicts and the destructive revolutions to the other boils world, that sow only disorder, hate and violence, associated to the incoherence of the strategies adopted by the political ones, drive me to write this ticket.

Military memoirs abound, but few prove to be trustworthy accounts free of spin, bravura, or military glitter. John Merson’s War Lessons takes a rare reflective approach to this pressing issue of our time. In vivid, unadorned prose, he interweaves his own experiences in war with thoughtful assessments of how to prevent it. He highlights the daily experience of combat from the perspective of both the foot soldier and the villager in whose home the war is being fought. When he leaves Vietnam, Merson begins an odyssey that brings him back eight times. The book limns this process as a poignant personal voyage and the author struggles to understand why young people are drawn to war, how it changes those who fight it, why its destructive effects persist on both sides, how former enemies reconcile, and how soldiers wanted to be treated and remembered by the citizens who send them to war. War Lessons also offers hope, suggesting strategies for young people to help the world reclaim its humanity through healing actions such as participating in UN peacekeeping programs, working to prosecute war crimes, and protecting refugees.

In the hours before the Hillville fire, burning south west of Taree on the NSW Mid North Coast, began its destructive path crossing the Pacific Highway east of Possum Brush and Rainbow Flat residents progressively received a series of text fire warning messages from RFS headquarters.

The destructive path of the fire saw a lot of properties burnt and a number of homes lost in the Possum Brush and Rainbow Flat areas and it ultimately burned all the way through Khappinghat National Park to Wallabi Point and Old Bar while also heading south to threaten Tallwoods Village and Diamond Beach.

In the days afterwards the fire formed a long front which stretched from the top of the Pulpit at Tallwoods west to Mt Talawahl.

Two 737 Jets bombed the top of Mt Talawahl with pink retardant in order to protect vital telecommunications infastructure but the fire burned around the base of Mt Talawahl through Pipeclay Creek Road and Candoomakh Creek Road just north of Nabiac where it seriously threatened a cousins property on Candoormakh Creek Road before heading over the ridge to Wrights Lane near Dyers Crossing. I heard sadly tonight, that the old ancestral home of my grandfather and great grandfather, Beau Vista, where my father was raised had burned down as the fire went through but I have yet to confirm the accuracy of that report.

The fire front also took a turn to the east into properties behind Failford at Greys Road where sadly another home was lost. Pushed along by strong southerly winds it now headed for the Bullocky Run and Highlands subdivisions where fortunately an intensive firefighting response overnight saved all of the homes as far as I know.

With the fire now just a few hundred metres short of linking up with the originating point of the Darrawank Fire of a few weeks previously, it burned along Failford Road and Bungwahl Creek into the southern end of Timbertops Estate where its eastward then northerly march led it directly to my brothers rural acrage boundary fence.

At this point the fire had got into tall trees and was a twenty metre high inferno as it headed north fanned by strong south easterly winds along the back of all the rural acreage properties on Laurina Drive at Timbertops Estate.

Most of these properties were cleared, including my brothers place and were horse paddocks so access was possible for the brigades to prevent the fire burning too far onto the back of the various properties as it came through.

Fortunately by the time the fire front began running through the dense forest along the back of the Laurina Drive properties there were four fire brigades on the scene as well as two big water bombing helicopters and two fixed wing float plane water bombers.

With my brothers property right in the path of the inferno, and in particular, his stables and large colourbond work shed, the water bombers did their job quickly and effectively, saving the two buildings from burning down by dropping dozens of loads of water on the advancing fire.

It was very fortunate that there was a large dam just 300 metres from the fire front and the helicopters made good use of it while the float planes flew to the Wallamba River not too far away to pick up their water.

A team of eight or so local volunteers, including myself, had also come to assist before the fire front arrived and we were able to help stop the spread of the spot fires across the dry grass as they travelled towards other properties to the north. We were also able to stop the fire burning across grass toward my brothers home. It was however fortunate that a brigade arrived to assist just as the volunteers were losing the battle with the rapidly spreading grass fire.

Without those volunteers and the brigades the fire may have burnt to the north to other properties and it could potentially have spotted on the eastern side of the Lakesway opening up a new fire front that could have threatened Homestead Estate.

Fortunately none of that happened and the fire was reduced to a watch and act basis by late that afternoon with a couple of brigades mopping up.

The building of blockhouses started in March 1900 to protect the railways, in particular the railway bridges. Many of these were impressive structures of stone, with corrugated iron roofs, standing three storeys high and enetred by an external wooden stair in the form of a drawbridge.

These were effective but also time consuming and costly to build. This led to more modest style structures being built in the form of rectangular, signle-storey buildings with a stone wall mounted upon which was a coorugated iron upperwork, this was pierced with loopholes and double skinned, the void between being filled with stones to block rifle fire. Even these structures were slow to construct and a solution to these was sort by Kitchener, he turned to Major Spring R Rice, Officer Commanding 23 Field Company, Royal Engineers based as Middleburg, Transvaal.

Major Rice designed two new forms of blockhouse, the first octagonal and the second, the one that became known as the 'Rice Blockhouse'. circular. This was made of of corrugated iron filled with a stone-filled, loopholed shield above and an earth-filled caisson below, the whole being topped off with a stone roof. When ideally sited the door was blocked approached under cover of a trench and the hillock on which it sat and the lower part of the walls was covered with loose stones for added protection. It was said that trained men could erect such a blockhouse in a single day and the record for erecting one was a mere three hours. It was usually garrisoned by a non-commissioned officer and six men. Outside the immediate area was protected by barbed wire and a barbed wire fence stretched between one blockhouse and the next, hung out with tin cans to make as much noise as possible when disturbed.

The fortifications in cluded numerous other modesl, often ad-hoc designs fashioned to meet the requirements of the location and adjusted to make the best of available materials, but the Rice design was the one that sprang up in huge numbers. By September 1901 the Western Railway blockhouse line from De Aar to Lobatsi, north of Mafeking, was complete, as was the Central Railway system from Naauwpoort to Pretoria and the Delalgoa Railway to the border of Koomati Poort. In addition a box west of Johannesburg and Pretoria and a line south-east to Standerton and Newcastle were operational. In the next three months the line north from Pretoria to Pietersberg was built, the Western Railwasy cover extended south-west to beaufort West and numerous additions made in Transvaal and was now Orange Colony. By May 1902 a line of blockhouses ran from Beaufort West right across Cape Colony to the Atlantic coast and yet more lines had been added elsewhere. By the end of the war there were 3,700 miles (6,000km) of lines with some 8,000 blockhouses manned by 50,000 British troops and 16,000 Africans.

Nutria are destructive to wetlands due mainly to the amount of vegetation they consume, an adult can weigh up to 37 lbs. but average 12 lbs., they consume 25% of their body weight in food a day and the females can become sexually mature in as little as 3 months old.

The termite mound is one of the characteristic features of the African landscape, where structures of all shapes and sizes can be observed on the savannahs. Having been around for over 50 million years the termite is one of the oldest, and most adaptable, species on earth. Many people think of termites as pests that destroy gardens and homes, and though there is truth in the destructive qualities of these ancient creatures, the majority of termite species actually serve an important role in the environment.

The mound builders provide the most dramatic example of termite activity. As you can see from this image, the mounds grow very high over time. Africa is the where they seem to enhance the landscape the most and where the life cycle is best demonstrated.

At specific times of the year, generally after the first rains of the season have fallen, the African 'landscape' is filled with the sight of winged insects scurrying about in frenzied dashes to nowhere as predators across the spectrum feast on the bounty.

These winged insects are the fertile individuals of the termite colonies that have been waiting for the ideal conditions to occur before alighting on a do or die nuptial flight in order to find mates and start new colonies. Watching the predatorial [predator] orgy, where the termites are hunted in the air and on the ground, you wonder how they could have survived for so long? The reality is that in such numbers, some are bound to escape the predators and find mates.

The females will attempt to attract males by releasing pheromones into the air. When a male responds there will be a short foreplay before the mating, after which the couple dig a hole in the ground or log, hollow out a chamber and start the new colony. The first eggs the female, or queen, lays will produce worker termites that will begin to collect food and enlarge the structure.

Earth's Last Survivors?

A species has to be successful to adapt and survive for over 50 million years and it is said that the termite is one of the few creatures that will survive a natural disaster or nuclear holocaust. (Source: Siyabona Africa)

If the destructive certainty of future pandemics were widely enough recognized maybe the U.S. federal government would include a separate well funded research department dedicated to building new defences against waves of constantly evolving diseases, something like a Pandemic Defence Department. Then maybe the politicians and the general public wouldn’t be caught so ignorant, surprised, and unprepared by the next inevitable scourge. The cost of developing effective new antibiotics and vaccines is too high to expect private pharmaceutical companies to invest billions that they might not be able to recover.

On Eve of Massive Protest at Bank of America’s Shareholder Meeting in North

Carolina, NYC Homeowners, Workers and Residents Demand Justice for

Communities

Planned civil disobedience at Bank of America tower

Actions in NYC are part of widespread 99% Power actions happening across

America to protest Bank of America’s destructive practices

New York, NY — May 8th: Community, labor and clergy leaders in New York

City converged on the Bank of America tower calling for justice the day

before the company’s annual shareholder meeting in Charlotte, NC. The

action took place at the Bank of America tower at 42nd Street and 6th

Avenue.

Bank of America has been particularly reviled for its predatory pursuit of

profits above all else as it has systematically ransacked communities,

driven millions of families into foreclosure, refused to work with

underwater homeowners to reduce mortgage principal, massively increased the

wealth gap, and avoided paying its fair share of taxes.

The New York action included 8 community, labor and clergy leaders holding

a giant black banner that reads, “Bank of America Bad for America” across

42nd Street, peacefully blocking traffic until they were arrested.

Protestors also held a large 6 foot Bank of America "person" with four 6

foot arms. Each arm represents one of Bank of America's crimes -

foreclosure, dodging taxes, investing in payday loans/ dirty coal/ private

prisons, and "buying" elections.

"Whether or not Bank of America is headed for bankruptcy, we already know

their business model is morally bankrupt. Their profit model now relies on

stealing homes from families, refusing to pay their fair share in taxes,

underwriting polluting industries like coal and ripping off customers. We

can't afford more business as usual at Bank of America," said Elizabeth

Owens, a member of the community group VOCAL-NY, who is also traveling to

North Carolina to confront Bank of America executives directly at their

annual shareholder meeting.

“When it comes to fair-share taxes and corporate responsibility, Bank of

America is Bad for America -- and bad for New York,” said Michael Kink,

Executive Director of the Strong Economy for All Coalition. “They've taken

hundreds of billions in bailouts, made hundreds of billions in profits, and

paid no federal taxes at all -- they actually got five billion in tax

credits in the last three years. Here in New York City, they took $61

million in tax subsidies, but didn't create the 7000 jobs they promised the

public. The protesters in the streets today are fighting to uphold the

rule of law and American values of fairness and responsibility - values

that Bank of America blatantly disregards.

Bank of America had $88 billion worth of foreclosed homes in its servicing

portfolio -- more than any other mortgage servicer in the country as of

June 2010. The bank also owned $18.7 billion worth of foreclosed homes, the

second highest in the nation.

"For the past year, I've been trying to modify my mortgage with Bank of

America so my family can stay in our home; but instead of working with me,

they send me letters telling me I need to do a short-sale and leave my

house,” said Guillermo Calle of New York Communities for Change. “ I have

nowhere else to go, so I am out here today to let Bank of America know we

aren't going anywhere. As long as Bank of America continues their

foreclosure policy that is bad for America and our families, homeowners

like me will be in the streets from New York to Charlotte."

Participants in today’s New York Bank of America action include,

homeowners, workers, and local families. Participating organizations

include VOCAL- NY , Strong Economy for All

Coalition ,

MoveOn.org, United

New York , New York Communities for

Change,

National Domestic Workers Alliance ,

ALIGN-NY , Brooklyn Congregations

United, Brown

Memorial Baptist Church ,

The New Bottom Line ,

99%Power

.

The protest is taking place as part of the 99% Power demonstrations across

America today, including cities such as Chicago, Boston, and Detroit. Many

people taking part in this protest are traveling to Charlotte, NC where

Bank of America is holding its annual shareholder meeting.

"Bank of America is one of the worst banks in terms of dodging taxes,

foreclosing on the homes of hard-working people who can't make ends meet

and putting the screws to students buried in debt," said Camille Rivera,

executive director of UnitedNY. "In New York, they took more than $61

million in tax subsidies, but failed to create as many jobs as they

promised."

“ Many of our religious leaders and congregants have difficulty

understanding how Bank of America, who in 2008, was one of the major banks

receiving ‘bailout money is now one of the leading banks proceeding with

many of our nations home foreclosures,” said Reverend Clinton Miller of

Brown Memorial Baptist Church. “We are protesting Bank of America because

they have benefited greatly from American tax payer dollars and at the same

time are deliberating to take many hard working Americans homes away from

them.”

activists, contact Ilana Berger at (347) 645-4255 or ilana@newbottomline.com

Did you know that Philippines has four major types of termite species? One of this is the coptotermes vastator or Philippine Milk Termite—the most destructive among subterranean termite. It feeds on wood continuously and unnoticeably. Last January to May 2008 dengue cases was extremely alarming. Ten thousand eight hundred forty one patients, 114 deaths in the Philippines, 2,839 cases in Metro Manila according to National Epidemiology Center (NEC) of the DOH. Rodents, roaches and other pests still a bad treat to our health.

People are concern about the problem. They are aware about the danger behind it. Some people trying to do it by themselves but despite of their efforts the treatment remains not effective.

There are a lot of guidelines to control these pests. And there are two major factors to consider most effective. The first one is sanitation and followed by pest control. Sanitation is very important; this would be very effective to control pests. Eliminate food sources, clean regularly will help a lot as well as regular pest control treatment. Others don’t know what to do that’s why they ask somebody to take care of it.

More than twelve years of expertise in the field of pest control. Employing more than 40 experienced technicians and management personnel. Servicing a lot of clients both residential and commercial. Equipped with knowledge and uses modern gadgets to deliver effective pest control. Involved in different respective organizations. That’s a factors you have to consider in looking a pest control company. The one that will take the responsibility not will take all your money.

Topbest Pest Services, Inc. has the wide variety of understanding concerning pests. Topbest always wanting their clients to be more satisfied through quality service. County town of Buckinghamshire, large and sprawling, with a destructive road system around which new brash buildings have arisen. We parked in a multistorey car park, on the third floor and travelled UP two floors to get out by walking over a bridge, through a huge recent shopping centre and out into a little oasis of streets in the old town where St Mary's church is sited, all on the same level as that fifth floor bridge.

Large and cruciform, mainly C13, grouped around a central tower with a picturesque recessed leaded clock stage with gothic open parapet and pinnacles, and short further recessed spire. The approach is to the south transept, the main entrance. Many trees make exteriors problematic. On entering there was a pervasive smell of coffee (although my friend got bacon!). The west end has a newish gallery and a dais with tables and chairs serving a cafe which is sited in the south-west corner of the south aisle and also fills the south porch. In this sea of pine boarding sits the Norman font; I was surprised that it didn't have a flat cover with "bar stools" around it. Olympic banners hang from the nave roof obstructing the view east, although the view was better from the gallery. Gorgeous west window by O'Connor. The north aisle has dome comfy armchairs and some medieval stalls ejected from elsewhere, and also a lovely baroque altar table among the clutter. The north transept has two good monuments, a cusped triangular recess with an alabaster knight, and a standing canopied monument with kneeling figures of mother and daughter complete with the original railings. Here too a Norman pillar piscina (not mentioned at all in the BofE) and a medieval cope chest. EE chancel, although east and south wall are entirely Victorian by the restorer Scott. There is an outer chapel east of the south transept (C14 with rich sedilia and a collection of memorials which seemed resited here) and an odd large square space to the west with a tall central wooden column supporting the roof. The inner south chapel has been converted into an office for a local charity which is based in the church, and has a stone screen filling the arch with a reset window.

I quite enjoyed my visit, if not the smell of stale coffee, apart from the awful staged cafe area at the west end and the poorly judged inclusion of the font here. However at least it was laid out as a church when I called, my friend recalled seeing badminton nets strewn across the nave on a previous visit. However it is obviously a well-used building, and an open one.

Last night we got about seven centimetres of snow which was clinging to the trees this morning on top of the ice which has yet to melt. The weather is supposed to go aove freezing on the weekend so hopefully the trees will be relieved of their burden soon.
