Inspired by Andy's example, I decided to clean up my computer tonight, make a full backup, and declutter my desktop while I was at it.
As I was leaving Elkhorn Slough, I saw this cheery heron weathervane and grabbed a picture. I like the copper color against the blue sky. Cropped to 16x9 for use as a desktop background

It's actually on my desktop to remind me, that I need to buy some cables to hook my macbook up to the TV to watch dvds. Have the mini-DVI->DVI connector, but that only gets me halfway ;-)
My dock is now hidden (shortcut CMD+OPT+D), but decided to bring it out to show the date in iCal.
The folder on the desktop is to remind me of a task..
I tend to use photos from the NatGeo picture of the day for my desktops. This is one of my favorites. Calendar and clock courtesy of GeekTool v3.
My working station, I bought that desktop a couple of months ago, I might need an smaller table aside for the 2 printers on the back. :p

Yep. Organization Rocks. These aliases go to my Documents Folder and are being Backed up with TimeMachine and MobileMe. ORGANIZAR!

Just discovered WindowBlinds and Yahoo Widgets. They can customize the look of your desktop to make it look so pretty and different. Do you like version 1 or 2? I kind of like this version more because the dark background makes seeing icons much easier than a brighter and lighter background.
My virtual desktop is as cluttered as my physical desk top. I share the desk with my husband and son, but the piles of papers are all mine.
