The quirky people at NetGifts (NetFlorist’s new gifting site) got together with the creative geniuses from the contemporary Design Team to bring South Africans gift boxes that look as exciting on the outside as the gift that is within.

When choosing the designs we wanted to select something that reflected Design Team’s signature style and was synonymous with South Africa. We decided to stick with the black and white theme that people have come to love and expect from NetFlorist. The new range of packaging is a fresh take that’s totally on trend.

“Towns,” which features the names of South African destinations including Polokwane, Tshwane and Jozi, was created at the time when the Government decided to change the names of many places in South Africa – we like adding a little humour and quirkiness to our work. “Icons of Africa” is a very simple repeat design showing several South African icons such as proteas and potjie pots.

Our approach has always been one that embraces collaboration as a fundamental part of what we do.

Over the last ten years we have worked with highly talented individuals, teams and companies from all over the world that help bring our vision to life.

Join the Dots is a celebration of the spirit of collaboration.

A simple idea. A consistent frame for a multitude of work. A single dot, each representing one collaborator, each a connection to another.

Each collaborator is given a template of a dot in a fixed position on an A2 portrait poster. Each interpreted this in their own way.

These are the first 25. There will be 100 in total and be collated into a book and exhibition.

Thanks to all that have contributed so far and for those that are still to come.

We hosted part of the 'Art of Football' event organised by YCN in conjunction with Nike. Each illustrator gets half a canvas and 90 minutes to create a football related image.

The event included half time with orange segments.
