I'm beginning to think it takes ten or twelve times through a sewing pattern to really absorb its lessons. These two pale blue sashes are the fifteenth and sixteenth I've made according to this pattern. I've made some variations in sizing and assembly, but in essence it's taken me two sashes each of pale blue, orange, purple, yellow, black, and red to learn how to make them — and I have three more singletons made which I'd like to repeat.
I have two more, of pale green, to make. The fabric is here in the house and ready to cut, but I haven't done it yet.
The white pegboard is set up to provide a high-contrast surface for young children to see the tools that are on display, and to be able to find them easily.

Airplant and Artecnica glassware on custom walnut cutting board. Kitchen design by bright designlab Portland, OR.
I used some of the scraps generated from making the chess board to create this miniature checkers/draughts board and pieces. I need to finish coloring the tokens, and put a golden dot with a gold marker on the opposite side of each piece, so that the pieces can be flipped over to make kings.
