My description is somewhat incorrect. The Teanaway River is in Kittitas County as is more than half of the trail to Ingalls Lake but Ingalls Lake is in Chelan County and drains towards the Wenatchee River.
I left home about 5 am Wednesday morning (Oct. 21) for a day hike to Ingalls Lake located in the Teanaway River drainage, Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Kittitas County, Washington. I drove through fog off and on from Ellensburg to Cle Elum but got out of the fog a short distance from Cle Elum as I headed for Teanaway. I passed many deer hunting camps while driving up the Teanaway and North Fork Teanway Rivers. There were 8 vehicles at the Esmeralda Basin Trailhead (#1394) when I arrived at a little after 7 am. The sky was partly cloudy and the temperature was a little above freezing. I made the climb (about 2500 feet elevation gain) and 3 miles to Ingalls Pass on Ingalls Way Trail (#1390) in good time. Although I was a little disappointed that the larch trees were bare of their golden needles and that there was cloud cover the views from the pass were superb. Rainier, Adams, Stuart, Esmeralda Peaks and more are visible from the pass. The rest of the trip down the hill and back up to Ingalls Lake offered a number of opportunities for photos so my pace was much slower stopping frequently to enjoy the views and take photos. The reflections at the lake were nice but not as good as they are in better light. The sun was mostly behind clouds. I sat and enjoyed the views, had a snack, took many photos and hiked out, arriving at my vehicle about 3 pm. Round trip to Ingalls Lake and back is about 9 miles. I stopped along the North Fork Teanaway River for some short walks to photograph the golden autumn trees and leaves and arrived home about 7 pm. IMG_7822

Ecology: Mycorrhizal with hardwoods or conifers; growing alone gregariously; summer and fall; widely distributed in Europa and North America
Cap: 2-17 cm wide; broadly convex, becoming flat with a central depression; the margin inrolled at first, eventually wavy and reminiscent of Cantharellus cibarius; dry; fairly smooth; dull orange-tan or paler.
Undersurface: Running down the stem; covered with spines or "teeth" that are 2-7 mm long; pale or dull orange; bruising dark orange or yellowish brown.
Stem: 3-10 cm long; 1-3 cm thick; sometimes somewhat off-center; dry; smooth; whitish or colored like the cap; bruising brownish.
Flesh: Whitish; often discoloring yellowish when exposed or bruised; sometimes with zones of color; brittle.

The two Re 421s owned by International Rolling Stock Investment GmbH (IRSI) in historic TEE livery are crossing the railway bridge in Eglisau. The Re 421s differed from the Re 420s in that they were type-approved and therefore equipped with the necessary safety systems to operate in Germany. The world-famous Eglisau railway bridge was built from 1895 until 1897 and cost 980,000 Swiss francs. It consists of 20 stone arches and a central iron section 9 metres high and 90 metres long. The overall length of the bridge reaches 457 metres, at a maximum height of 50 metres above the ground.

I find myself walking down an unfamiliar path to Ulfran, for me this is odd I know the land better than most. And then I realize I am not in Myst at all I am in a different realm, but how? how did I get here? I continue on my way as if nothing is wrong I can feel that this world knows I am aware. All life and color starts to fade. Stepping quickly to the side I avoid some kind of magic blast, "that was close," I mutter with a arrow ready in my hand I look up to see the a mighty Taurus Demon wielding what seems to be a magic staff. "Well I know this is going to be fun" I smile...without a second though I roll to the side letting loose two arrows, direct hit! Unaffected the demon begins to charge there is no time this is going to hurt. Right as I am hit I hear a voice I feel my heart beating fast and I open my eyes, "a dream?" looking down at my bruised side "Well that was something, oh!? what are you doing here?"
