Taken at the same distance as the next shot but at f11 to give a greater depth of field. Both shots done as a quick demonstration.

Technical: f/18 shutter speed 1/40, focus on the tree..

Composition: Shot at far range, maximum depth of field, below eye level.

I loved this tree, it was huge! I wanted to show how big it was.

New camera for Christmas? Okayyy.

Although I disagree with the mass marketing for Valentine's Day, I did find this rose to be particularly pretty. Roses and other sentiments of affection should be given at any time, not just on Valentine's Day.

Peacocks usually roam the Royal Roads campus, but since they are in the midst of filming X-Men3 most of the males have been coralled. Didn't stop me from finding a tattered feather on the ground today though.

Bought half a dozen sapphire blue tulip bulbs in Eindhoven two years ago, they turned out to be some kind of saffron blue! ;)
