Taken at the same distance as the next shot but at f11 to give a greater depth of field. Both shots done as a quick demonstration.

Technical: f/18 shutter speed 1/40, focus on the tree..

Composition: Shot at far range, maximum depth of field, below eye level.

I loved this tree, it was huge! I wanted to show how big it was.

I just made a light box or some people call them shadow boxes. these are a few of the images i took.

Although I disagree with the mass marketing for Valentine's Day, I did find this rose to be particularly pretty. Roses and other sentiments of affection should be given at any time, not just on Valentine's Day.

Perhaps a bit deeper depth of field would have helped this shot out, but the blurred out background serves to bring the flower out all that much stronger. It also sets a very comforting background.
