After a long 197 days, more like 198 since I didn't exactly get to pick him up until after 2AM, this deployment is officially over. Thanks to those who help me get through the rough moments over the last few months. ♥

Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries conservation police officers from central, northern and eastern Virginia deployed to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sunday morning. They will meet up with CPOs from the western part of the Commonwealth. A total of 30 officers trailoring 27 boats and two wildlife workers carrying fuel and generators will make up the full convoy.

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. — Steve M. Donohoe hangs from a bus window in an attempt to steal one more kiss from his fiancee, Petty Officer 2nd Class Laura A. Allison, during the departure of more than 100 Marines and Sailors with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) for Afghanistan Feb. 24. Allison is the Navy personnel support chief for 2nd MAW (Fwd.), which deployed to serve as the aviation combat element for II Marine Expeditionary Force (Fwd.) in Afghanistan.
