Acoridium glumaceum (Lindl.) Rolfe, Orchid Rev. 12: 220 (1904).
A really small form of this species from the Philippines. The flowers are about 5 mm across on about a 6 cm inflorescence. I checked with Jim Cootes, an authority on the Orchids of the Philippines, on the identity of this plant. His comment, "I cannot recall seeing a Dendrochilum cobbianum with flowers that small or an inflorescence that short. It is quite possible that the plant in question is from a different island or a different range of mountains. I have closely studied the flowers again and I am certain that it is Ddc. cobbianum."
From The Philippines. Named after Jim Cootes, a world authority and author of The Orchids of the Philippines
