Do you spot the (official) photographer?
Today, a year ago, we were present at a party, to see the demolition of this building. It was the start for us to our new build appartment Blooming: blooming-oosterhout.nl/
Unfortunately my husband died at the end of last year, but I decided to go forward with this project if possible, because his oldest brother and sister in law also had bougt an appartment there.
Only recently, in May this year, the new build has started! It will take some time until it's ready, planned completion is at the end of 2026. In the mean time I just sold our house and in Octobre I will be moving to a temporarary sort of tiny house at a campsite.

The old Building did no longer fit in the Spirit of the Age. All overlooked by the the Church of our Lady.
The demolition of the last section of a footbridge that, after a merger of two hospitals, served as a link between these two buildings. In total this bridge was 275 meters long.
...from the 1840ies. This structure was one of tho oldest railway buildings in Germany. When they were erected the railway age was still in its beginnings. The buildings have survived two world wars and many, many changes in railway technology. Now they are destroyed. It's a shame. They should have been preserved but the municipal government (and the German Federal Railway) decided to pull them down.

Fintan Magee.
The further march of gentrification and office space in Shoreditch. This work by Fintan Magee is a few years old and now the site of old railway arches is very much under threat of demolition as part of a £750 Million development scheme.
Demolished 10th April 2017.

I thought about removing that tower crane but didn't. That's the way it is/was.
