Delicate Arch is formed of Entrada Sandstone. The original sandstone fin was gradually worn away by weathering and erosion, eventually leaving the arch.
The fire dances with delight as it burns so delicate but deadly. This was taken at Tyson's Corner Mall in Virginia. I hope you enjoy.
Not the best focus neither proper depth of field, but I love the colours and delicacy of these minimal flowers.
The name is Sea lavender (Limonium vulgare) and it has no more than 3 or 4 mm of diameter.
I made the hike up before sunrise, along with many others. Despite being there with a crowd it was still a beautiful scene and a great experience. I liked this phase the most, when the top half of the arch was being hit directly with light and the lower half was still in shadow.
We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
We might take it home
We might make out when nobody's there
It's not that we're scared
It's just that it's delicate

Delicate and beautiful. Cilantro flowers are salad fare or can be added to anything cilantro leaves are used for.
Definitely one of my favorite spots from the whole trip, this was our last night and I guess you could say it was a good way to end what was already an awesome 3 weeks. I have a blog post I am working on, hopefully will get it done soon!
There were a ton of people shooting this night at Delicate, lots of light painting was going on. Which was great for a few shots I wanted to get, but there was a little too much and too many people trying to get their own painting, their were constant lights for a couples hours. While waiting I decided to do a quick 65 shot star trail, it would have been longer but some lights messed it up! But eventually everyone decided to leave, leaving us the best part of the night for Milky Way. We had the place to ourselves for a little bit before Michael and I decided to head down to another spot.
A view of Delicate Arch in the morning. A more unusual vantage point. I kind of had low expectations for this location, but for once, the grandeur of being there in person exceeded my expectations. I hope the color turned out all right on this, I have to really bump up the color from what I see on the 64 bit system. It looks great with a lower saturation of color with the 64 bit. Hopefully, I did not overdo it here. It may vary from screen to screen...HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY

Yup, this is an icon in photography terms... I had nice weather for sunset but was just 5 min. LATE !! The light on the arch had just faded when my buddy and myself finally got here. I think this is nice enough to share with you all, but I look forward to going back again in the next year and trying to get a more dynamic version.
