Dehydrated Jalapeno peppers. I put them in my chili or sometimes a few in my soup to add some warmth.

Found some water!! It is recommended that you drink 1 gallon a day to prevent dehydration!!

Today's prompt... "Overlooked." What's overlooked at my house? oh yeah, my plants! I always forget to water them, so I bought some cacti... Forgot to water those too! This dehydrated bit of cactus was processed with a LR photopla.net preset called "forgotten" - how fitting, right?!

Braving through the 110 degree heat, dehydration, and heat exhaustion was worth it for the stunning views Big Bend has to offer. This was my first trip to the park and I decided to go in the summer months to advoid the crowds. There were no crowds but the heat made the hikes some of the hardest I have ever done. But it was definitely worth it. I will definitely be back. Just maybe in the Fall.

It's time to harvest the chiles! But, what do you do with all of them? Dehydrate them, grind them up, and turn them into chile powder, or custom blended chili powders. Here's how! jackieshappyplate.com/drying-and-milling-chiles/ This photo is an American Photography 36 selected winner in the food photography category.

I went to this place looking for the MASH location. The old TV series, you know?

It was in Malibu Creek State Park, Agoiura, CA.

I never realized it will be a long hike. I was so adventurous and at the same time stupid that I kept going on following the treacherous trail to the place when I realized I was getting dehydrated. My lips went dry. My mouth, throat and my brain were gasping for water. Yeah, never brought any water or food with me. I thought it will be a quick and off photoshoot.

While I was getting sick, I still kept on shooting and never thought of turning back. Crazy, huh? I'm a very passionate person in almost everything I do if you've noticed it.

I met some hikers and begged for water. I got some drops since their supply were not enough for them.

I reached the MASH location and got some help from those who were ahead of me but still not enough water to relieve my dehydration. And there was no place to buy water. There was this building that looked like a store but when I managed to reach it, it was close.

I started going back to my car which was a long hike back. Then, panic started to sink in when my eyesight turned into all green. Yeah. It was so serious that I had to stop walking and shooting as well. I rested and continued a number of times. But my sight was fading and all I see were greens on all objects. I had this fear that I might go blind that day.

It was a combination of dehydration and no food on my stomach that led to this almost tragic event of my life. Plus, it was so hot with the blazing sun following me wherever I go.

I got finally some help from people who were just going to the place. I got one bottle of water and I almost kiss the gal who gave me back my life.

But my eyesight was still so bad. I can't almost see.

I was given a ride back by a group to my car. I thanked God that I made it back and rested for about 30 minutes. And all I can think of after I got my normal vision back was to look for a Big Mac and a Super Size Coke.

The good thing was I got out alive and my vision returned to normal. The bad thing was the disappointment with the place. Probably I was not fit enough to take good pictures because of my condition. I will show you more of what I got though.

Here is a YouTube video of the place: M*A*S*H Filming Location at Malibu Creek State Park

SO NOW YOU KNOW HOW EASY IT WAS FOR ME TO TAKE THIS PICTURE. DANG. I WAS STILL ALIVE. THIS WAS TRULY AN ESCAPADE.

P.S. Even I wanted to drink the water in the pond, I never tried it. I was so afraid that it will make matters worst. It was like I would rather die than drink that pond.

MORAL LESSON: Willing to die just to get a shot. J/K I have water now everywhere I go. And snacks too.

This drying in the dehydrator sure did smell like chives !! !!

Heated gypsum, incandescent and fluorescent bulb lighting.

Sweet potato's sliced and dehydrated for dog treats. The dogs say they know they're getting screwed when they get the non-meaty treats, but they still enjoy them, they aren't fattening and it's cheap treats, or as they are known in this household: TREATYBEARS!

Going to the kitchen to play with food is so therapeutic - almost as good as going to the garden - which right now is covered in snow. Food is forgiving - I now see some seeds, and holes in my slices - but perfection is not part of the game. Two trays of lemon slices, quarter tray of orange zest and four trays fo tomato skins from the 2022 Garden in the Dehydrator this morning. (Tomato skins have been taking up space in the freezer since making sauce.). 😀

I've been meaning to make these dehydrated crackers for a long time. The first time I made them was in the 1970's. These are a healthier alternative to store-bought crackers. The closest I've seen to these is Mary's Gone Crackers. They are round and very hard, these crackers are very thin and crispy.

The doorway to prosperity and immortality is patience and endurance; Accepting the crest-and-troughs of fate and fortune; Keeping head straight - eyes focused.

There come moments in life when like a dehydrated leaf, your strings with tree are broken but you are still hung – waiting. Waiting to become part of the soil, waiting to fertilize the infertile land and waiting to grow up again. ‘Wait’ would appear lethal but it’s the only path to immortalization.

Here, I would like to thank everyone for visiting my Photos and Photostream, leaving appreciative comments and constructive suggestions.

Thank you so much for oxygenating me.

He's looking good here.

I have had to put a lot of water mixed in his food as he's been constantly dehydrated.

I'm waiting on test results to find out why.

The third day without water. The builders of the hypermarket Epicenter broke the high-voltage cable that feeds the filter station. As a result, 50 thousand people were left without water. The authorities organized the supply of water, but people are still angry.

This is a clever advertising item in the form of an empty, but still sealed, tin can from BERNARD FOOD INDUSTRIES, INC., MANUFACTURERS AND DISTRIBUTERS TO THE NATION'S FINE EATING ESTABLISHMENTS.

The label says "BERNARD DEHYDRATED WATER" and gives the following instructions for use: "EMPTY CONTENTS OF CAN INTO ONE GALLON OF WATER. STIR UNTIL DISSOLVED. CHILL AND SERVE." This "product" is even covered by U.S. Patent Office Trademark No. 898826!

Thats the trouble with being a Puddle. Everybody notices you, but very few really see your worth !!

This plant has seen better, wetter days. I've shot photos of plants like this before, but one thing that keeps me coming back to it is that they have a built-in complexity that is fun to isolate and present. Here, for instance, there are so many little spins and swirls to the little branches and leaves that you could come in a little tighter on any portion and have a new shot. It's almost like a fractal.
