Success is defined in many different ways. It can be from the simplest to run a mile or to the complex to change a civilizations habit. But the thing to note about these definitions is that they are entirely your own and nobody else's. the danger happens when you define your success with someone else's definition. Te reason that this is a danger is because you are living up to someone else's expectations and not yours. You lose the ability to what it is you need to do to make yourself happy and succeed at it. Rather than letting others define your success you should at all cost discover how you define it. It is not an easy road to figure out and can take awhile you find out the answer. But what this does is twofold. First, you become the author of your world. You define how you are going to achieve things and get things done. Therefore all responsibility is on you. But note that success has two c's and two s's, I take these as your support system. Success is achieve not by yourself in terms of doing the work but having a group that will support you along the way. This is your dream team. They don't do the work for you rather they motive and give you the fuel to get to the finish line. Secondly, by taking your time you will allow yourself to get a well rounded approach to your surroundings and see things that will only help you. Patience is a virtue and patience gives people who wait something that those who rush into situations issues. Patience gives you the know how to get around sticky situations. Patience is like freezing time in the matrix. You know the part in the movie where the bullet slow down so you can avoid them, patience is like that. It allows you to see what challenges there are to face and time to figure out the solution. The one thing that I have learned over the years about success above all else is that there are many steps to climb. You have to take it one step at a time. You can skip a step or two but you increase the risk of tripping and hurting yourself. Which isn't all to bad either. But you will feel bruised and hurt. But because you have taken the steps previously and taken the time to experience you will pick yourself right back up and endure the steps another day. An important thing about success that you must always keep in your head is that you have to keep getting up and want it that much that you will do whatever it is to get it. It is easier said than done mind you but you have to do it. There is nothing more to it. True success comes to those that know the path they have come from and put in the blood, sweat, and tears. If it was that easy, everyone would be successful. But the truth is not everyone is. So ask yourself of you are one of the few that will fight or falter. It is up to you.

Another lift of Nichol Magourik. Love that girl I do. I loved the bookmark she had made her daughter. When I showed my daughter she asked if I could make her one too. I didn't have the book so I improvised. You can find all the details with step by step improvisation on my blog.

Advancement of technology has helped artists to look more beautiful. People in the fashion world have to look perfect while performing in front of the audience. High definition cameras can expose any wrinkles, blemishes, etc.
Ther other day I was asked what is my definition of kitsch.
This is the result. Oscillating between my warm feelings for the person who offered me this figurine and her ignorance of what I might find beautiful.
(and I still didn't buy that 'for the dummies' book on how to get rid of the glare on the left)

I wanted to emphasize the institution that defines these photos. I enjoy the lighting of this photo. I wish it possibly had a better definition of texture.

Fast shutter.
This was kind of a last minute spontaneous idea that I thought up after my mom's boyfriend bought her roses. I had already done some pictures with water so I thought okay well why not a rose. It was elegant and delicate in the water pouring from my shower, so I had one of my friends climb in with the rose and hold it as I took the picture over and over again shooting from different angles until the flower fell apart. Since I was using fast shutter I had to bring extra lighting into my bathroom which caused the shadow to appear on the wall behind the rose. The only thing I’d really change is being able to tell it was taken in the shower, other then that it turned out even better then I expected.

Definition of a foodie: someone who will spend a Sunday afternoon driving all around town in search of a particular ingredient for a recipe. Arak is an anise-based spirit made in the Levant. Not to be confused, as I learned, with arrack, a rum-like spirit from the East Indies. Along the scavenger hunt, I discovered Barkeeper, a Silver Lake shop with most everything for the well-stocked bar, and Jons, a supermarket that happens to have a heavy Middle-Eastern selection, including a dozen varieties of arak. Now I’m ready to tackle Ottolenghi’s chicken with clementines and arak.
