The evening showers forced him to shelter in this shed until the rain subsided. I waited until he moved into the light to get this shot... while I got wet!
This city apartment is so small!! We could have a very upscale house for the $$$$$ we pay to live in Manhatten!! I NEED SPACE (I have long legs after all!! LOL!!) Why did I have to fall in Love with a native city man!!

The causes are often explained in terms of a diathesis-stress model or biopsychosocial model. In biological psychiatry, mental disorders are conceptualized as disorders of brain circuits likely caused by developmental processes shaped by a complex interplay of genetics and experience.[1]
Services are based in psychiatric hospitals or in the community. Diagnoses are made by psychiatrists or clinical psychologists using various methods, often relying on observation and questioning in interviews. Treatments are provided by various mental health professionals. Psychotherapy and psychiatric medication are two major treatment options, as are social interventions, peer support and self-help. In some cases there may be involuntary detention and involuntary treatment where legislation allows.
Stigma and discrimination add to the suffering associated with the disorders, and have led to various social movements attempting to increase acceptance.

#202/365 Haven't done one of these in a while. This Sony Watchman used to belong to my father. It is much bigger than it actually looks. It was b&W and still worked perfectly till a couple months ago when the U.S. finally switched over to all digital. It's amazing how hi-tech this was then in a short amount of time we are walking around with iphones. Enjoy, have a great low-tech Tuesday.

Depending on your definitions, I was either walking or hiking down a steep slope on South Sunset Bench Road when I decided to take a short break to take this photo, and a couple of sister photos pretty much just like it.
The capture shows, in almost 3-D form, the foreground, with a few snow remnants scattered amongst some ponderosa pines, a good deal of sagebrush, the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana, and the iconic Bitterroot Mountains in the distance. Throw in a fairly fabulous post-sunset sky and you have the makings of a delightfully handsome scene.
Mother Nature produced it. I took a short break from my exercise to record it, and then continued on my merry way back down "the bench", Montana's name for an elevated plateau that is located before foothills or mountains are encountered, or the mountains themselves.
This view is one very sweet one among many that are near my home, higher up on Sunset Bench Road, and walking or hiking this rural road in either direction is a great pleasure, something I do multiple times a week. Up. Down. Both. Never uphill both ways.
Every day and every season offers up a totally new sky and a vibrant new scene, different and unique, each one. The same as the favorite view-field in your neighborhood. And therein lies the magic.
So. The difference between a walk and a hike? The length.
The degree of exertion. The use of a hiking pole. The path or the surface. The location or the local environment. Whether or not one sweats during the activity. But the pleasure and the benefit is the same, no matter the name. Especially in delightfully beautiful places.
Goodbye definition, farewell abundant light it is time to look closer at less detail and to wonder where is the least lighting available for a darker picture with less colour and much more A93 Raven’s Wing and No.00000.1 Luminescence?

The altarpiece, which is the part above the predella with Joseph's Dream, the Birth of Jesus and the Flight into Egypt, was painted for the church of San Giuseppe outside Porta Saragozza around the years 1522-1523, and is to be considered one of the first works by the artist in Bologna.
The composition, similar to the one previously painted (1516) in the small altarpiece now in Berlin, shows the assimilation of Raphael's culture to which is added a plastic definition of the forms taken from Tuscan painting close to Mariotto Albertinelli and Franciabigio.
Brought to the attention of scholars in the early eighties, was subjected to restoration and exposed to the public in 1996.

I stacked a polarizer and a warming filter for this shot. The Polarizer to cut the glare and give some definition to the clouds and the 812 filter to return some warmth to the scene. The 812 filter dates back to the film days. I used it a lot when shooting ektachrome slide film which was always a bit stark and cold for my tastes. Of course you can warm up shots in post now but I like the 812 filter better. Anyway, there you have it. Those are soybeans on the right and the remains of a sweet corn patch on the left. Yes, the corn was over the top yummy. Have a great evening.

"Cavapoo" is a portmanteau for a hybrid from a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and a Poodle. Also sometimes referred to as a "Cavadoodle."
Cripple Creek, CO - This is at the Teller County Fair, an event they call Tough Truck. Basically, locals take their own vehicles and race through a dirt track on a time trial basis with jumps and bumps. I had never been to anything like this before, and it was a true definition of fun as a spectator; I'm sure it was even more fun as a driver. This was one of the many women racers during the event.
As for this vehicle, someone mounted a Ford Mustang body on a Dodge truck chassis. Why? Because America.
