HMS Defender is a ship of the Type 45 class of air-defence destroyers built for the Royal Navy.
Viceroy butterfly prepared to do battle with invaders of its territory. Unfortunately, since the time of this photo, the owner of its meadow decided to mow. Now, with nothing to defend, this showy critter has moved along.

A variation of a build for Bright Bricks which was presented to a Land Rover dealer to mark the last year of Defender production. Working steering, pendular front / live axle rear suspension, engine, linear transmission.
This is the 2015 model 110 Station Wagon.

It's only five studs wide (excluding the mudguards and mirrors) and, due to the yellow stripe, I couldn't do anything clever to reduce the width of the sides, but there is enough room in the cab for the driver.

Paris is a magnificent city full of life and history... Everywhere you turn, there are reminders of the past and what this country and citizens have endured. This morning, I went into my photos of Paris and chose a new image to edit. This one spoke to me. I think it is the perfect depiction of what France will do to protect itself.
The Defender is a one-man heavy star fighter with quad engines as well four pylon mounted dual heavy laser cannons.
These two delivery riders appeared to me to be like guardians of the centre of the city, positioned as they are in a gap in the fortifications designed to keep truck bombers at bay.
This is a rehash of a picture I took of the remains of Corfe Castle in a gap of the Purbeck hills. Travelling the countryside, coast, mountains and events give me inspiration and fulfilment.
A man was walking two of these lovely dogs but this one was very protective of him even though I was nowhere near. It barked at me for ages!
Had to get the V-24 out before heading home :)

Former Army Air Corps/RAF Britten-Norman BN-2T Defender 4000s in service from 2004 to 2021, stored on the west side of Solent Airport the former RNAS Lee-on-Solent/HMS Daedalus (EGHF).
All are pending sale with interest from potential airlines/operators due to this ex military type having a longer fuselage than the civilian Islander.
