The only image I have from an all day outing yesterday as I decided to accidently delete all of the images from the other camera.
An adult Bronze Shieldbug (Troilus luridus) predating a small grub or caterpillar at Wilford Claypit nature reserve near Nottingham.
As well as its spear like segmented hard proboscis, this shieldbug has a small white "tongue" type organ above which was sliding up and down the indented centre line.

Unknown to me this location known as the Inland Sea at Dwejra Bay on the island of Gozo was used as a film location in Game of Thrones. I have never watched the programme so didn't recognise the scene.
This little lake is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a small tunnel that cuts through the surrounding high cliffs. The lake (known as the Inland Sea) provides a safe harbour and fishing huts have been built on two sides. It was interesting to see that the local boats are pushed into and hauled out of the water by a number of old Land Rover Defenders.
This amazing gorge is made by water and used by people in the summer to get to the beach. I have driven through once with water rushing. What an amazing experiance.
An iconic British truck, even when the company is now in Indian ownership, and rather imaginatively named too. Leica M Mono, Voigtlander CS 2.2/50 at F8.

My last build in 2016. Kinda crappy background, sorry 'bout that. :/ Base and door designs are based on JAlex's. Inspiration of course goes to Tommy. I think he knows in which SW book is Haidoral Prime. :P Maybe you can guess too?

Defending her nest
I watched this pair of bluebirds valiantly fighting off continuous attempts by tree swallows to take over their nesting box at Bombay Hook NWR
The light was very poor so I should not have tried to take a flight shot, let alone post it, but I kind of like the blurry action effect

A short eared owl spreads its wings to conceal its catch from other owls and northern harriers in the area.
This build was inspired by the limited gold pieces found in my parts collection. They pretty much all came from a Ninjago dragon and some Chima/ Hero Factory constraction sets but they set the tone by giving me the seed parts of the Chima lion heads at the thighs, the big claw bits at the shins, the disks on the chest, the starship bit at the midriff and the big rims on the forearms.
I went on a deep dive into Bricklink to see what other parts were available in gold and started building based on what could be colour swapped as Bricklink orders came in.
I took the same approach as with Zuckuss; I built the head first and then got everything else to fit which is why these two are bigger than the other Bounty Hunter mechs.
My first few attempts left me a bit dejected but once I embraced more of an Episode I vibe it really opened up the options and set the direction for the rest of the build.
I started this in February and he was 95% done by the end of June sans some colour swaps from incoming Bricklink orders.
He stands 33cm tall and weighs 337g.
The 3 minifigs are from Set 7956 Ewok Attack and the tree took way longer to build than I thought it would.
This will be on display at Brickvention in Melbourne in January.

Quick stop off at Walton-On-The-Naze when was in Essex last week. Tide was right in and light was a bit dull, so resorted to some LE of the sea defences. Somewhere to explore another time though
There can't be alot of people alive who recognise Dinorwic slate quarry as an historic landmark. But it has actually been put forward for UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Anyone who has climbed up into it knows why. But you can read about it here whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/5678/ Until it gets worldwide recognition it's small army of wild Welsh mountain goats are its only defenders.(Well, not including me and some others. I'm not sure about them, but I might be an old goat too ...)

When it came to special operations for the Triple Canopy operator teams, the designers of the Defender model certainly did they're homework. The M350 comes complete with AC, a radio not just mean for communication, V8, M2 Browning, smoke launchers, and enhanced lighting systems
In short its every operat0rs dream pick up, I'm quite proud of it, I'd also like to introduce the Triple Canopy operators, a big thank you to TheRedneck for his handy work on the breacher head :D
