Shot this in the Finger Lakes, New York while we were camping.
You know, I've been thinking about this shot after I posted it. The car, arguably one of the most important or at least, essential inventions in our day to day life. Of the 20th century in our first world countries anyway. Only a house is a bigger investment on average. It got us here where I shot this. It's protected me from the elements, my home away from home. And yet look at what it's doing to our planet, to our climate.
At the same time look at this sky. We aren't but a speck in the universe both in size and time. What does the universe care about the things we are doing to ourselves, to the things around us? If we are not careful we'll just be space junk. Humbling, really. It must have been the thing in my subconscious that decided to leave the car in the shot.

Alone with nothing but my thoughts is enough to drive me crazy. A self portrait shot in an abandoned Chapel. VisArG.com

Some of my conclusions at Stanford's VLAB 2014.
I am reminded of the closing chapter in Danny Hillis' book The Pattern on the Stone: “We will not engineer an artificial intelligence; rather we will set up the right conditions under which an intelligence can emerge. The greatest achievement of our technology may well be creation of tools that allow us to go beyond engineering – that allow us to create more than we can understand.”

More tinkering with gear. Today this lovely "on the fly" portrait was done without posing on planned setup. Lovely lady was watching TV and I asked if it was OK to snap away. She said yes and I asked her to be natural and not pose.
Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Hasselblad 80mm f2.8 CFE T*, with Vizilex ND Throttle (Hasselblad V to Canon) adapter. Canon Speedlight 430EX II on camera flash set at 1/2 power. Had the ND on the adapter set at about 5 stops. Lens was wide open.
Not sure but I think the ND filter is giving a color cast particularly the background which was beige color. Need more testing to be sure. Anyone with any experience with ND with flash indoors or Vizilex ND adapters?
My smart, sad little granddaughter in an unguarded moment. God bless this sweet child.

The other night it snowed and I saw this shot through the den window. I grabbed my coat and camera and shot it like a man on a hunting mission. After I uploaded it, I called Don in to see it. He just looked at me like I was nuts (he's not far off you know, 5150). But then last night I was showing him some pics that were in Explore and he made a very positive comment on one I just laughed at. So it just goes to prove beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder or as one of my good friends puts it, "There's an ass for every seat."

This bakery makes the greatest hamburger buns I will ever eat. You can tell when you get a Hanisch bun, the softness and quality is beyond compare. It's heaven holding the glory of the almighty cheeseburger
I've gotten into writing haikus lately, I used to write them as "Love Notes" to my girlfriend, (now wife) back in high school. I'd pass her a quick note in the hallways as walked past each other going to different classes throughout the day

These guys have a serious yet friendly game of chess going on at Market Square in Pittsburg. The guy smoking the cigarette appears to analyze this game while the guy on the right is working through his next move.
I saw these lads perched up on a wall in Bangalore while I was whizzing by in a taxi. I loved how the group was looking out to their left...and the dreamer among them looking the opposite direction in deep thought.

5 bullets,I Like:
-Her Contemplation.
-Fanning fingers.
-The angles formed by
a)the arm/hand holding her resting elbow like a 'U'
b)the arm of the lady in foreground almost coinciding her hand forming a 'V'
-Liked her pose paving her way from figures in foreground.
-Lastly the gym outfit :)
Also if you like to complete the ellipsis, you are all welcomed!! :)
I wonder why...
Hurray TGIF!!
Wish you a great weekend friends.
