As you can see, the color in our neck of the woods is not exceptional this autumn. But the earthy contrasts, painted clouds and soft tones were appealing.... just playing with the sunlight!
It's were I hike, think deep thoughts, and loose track of time! Oh yeah, and always have my camera... just in case!

Man sitting alone in a cafe; seem to be looking through the window but all he sees are thoughts that's running in his head.
The Neue Wache (New Guard House) is a building in central Berlin designed by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel. It has been redecidcated numerous times but most recently in 1993, as the "Central Memorial of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Victims of War and Tyranny."
At its heart now lies Käthe Kollwitz's sculpture Mother with her Dead Son. This sculpture is directly under the oculus, and so is exposed to the rain, snow and cold of the Berlin climate, symbolising the suffering of civilians during World War II.
In shadow it holds a ghostly mother and son silhouette.
What if the Stay Puft marshmallow man were made of tuna instead?

A beauty dish in front of her. A softbox below her. I asked her to close her eyes and take a deep breath.

I was thinking about you today and I do that a lot it seems. You're always in my heart by day, at night you drift into my dreams. I cannot shake these feelings for you,
but then I'd never had a desire to. The blessing of our love and friendship, is something I want to share with you. (excerpt from THOUGHTS OF YOU by Author: Thomas E. Napper)
So I was on a hike earlier today and passed by a very small Buddhist temple. I dropped in a coin (100円, aka about a dollar) for offering, rang the bell, bowed twice, clasped my hands twice, then bowed again, and finally made a wish (per the usual custom). I wished for “Enlightenment”. After a brief pause reflecting on why I chose that as what to wish for, I then turned and walked away.
I hadn’t even made it 10ft yet and I noticed there was a break in the clouds and the sun peaked through showering me directly in it’s warm rays. I thought to myself, “that wasn’t exactly what I meant, but I’ll take it anyway!” I then started to walk up the path towards the lookout point. After about 30ish or so paces deep in thought, I for some reason turned to look back over my shoulder.
First thing I saw was that the clouds were breaking up much faster now. I stopped and turned fully around only to then be greeted by a bright stunningly beautiful rainbow just starting to emerge (later becoming a partial double rainbow as you see here before dissipating and then returning back a while later as a single rainbow again, only much larger and having a full arc filling the horizon).
As I stood in awe, the rainbow started moving (probably an illusion of the clouds I think, but I can’t be sure, it might have really been moving) and it looked like the tail end of the rainbow was moving right straight towards me. It of course never “caught up” to me (darn! could’ve proven if there really was a pot of gold or not), but it definitely was quite a sight to see none the less, one I will likely never forget!
So was this all just coincidence or is there something out there that heard my wish and is sending me a sign of sorts in response?
We are at a crossroad of our life where we all want the After to be better than the Before. We feel as though life is not on "purpose", scared of what the future may hold for us or angry at what has happened in the past.
To me, life is about living each moment as it comes and not worrying about what has taken place or may happen in the future. It is about being certain that each moment of your life is being lived exactly as it is supposed to be to learn the lessons you were brought here to learn.
But, for past couple of years, as I believe that we create our destiny through our thought process... This myth or whatever you may call it has been shattered and cracked so many times... The dust & debry around me make me wonder about how to live a peace filled life. Why there is so much pain, suffering, bloodshed & wars happening around us. The more I think "Why", the deeper in thoughts I go behind the memory lane. Scattered bodies, smoke & shouting people create a wetness in my eyes.
But, at the end it all comes down to hope.. "Hope when all else fails." Hope is something you should have no matter when, not just when things are failing, but all the time. Hope gives you options and can change all of those bricked walls surrounding your into ones with doors.

The memories of my family outings are still a source of strength to me. I remember we'd all pile into the car - I forget what kind it was - and drive and drive. I'm not sure where we'd go, but I think there were some trees there. The smell of something was strong in the air as we played whatever sport we played. I remember a bigger, older guy we called "Dad." We'd eat some stuff, or not, and then I think we went home. I guess some things never leave you.
