Oops! My camera fired a shot in The Borg Invasion.

I was lucky enough to meet Max Grodénchik at a Star Trek Convention recently and was very impressed by what a great guy he was. Mr Grodénchik played the Ferengi character Rom in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

I really look like I am overdue for a haircut in this picture! I am trying to put it off until I go to Walt Disney World, so I can get my hair cut at the Harmony Barber Shop. I have wanted to do that for a long time, but then I always put it off until "next time". This trip, I will do it! I have a bit less then two weeks to wait. I hope I make it!

J. G. Hertzler is well known in the Star Trek community for his role on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (DS9) as the Klingon General (and later Chancellor) Martok.

Mr Hertzler was really great, and funny, while on stage at the Star Trek Convention. After he appeared on stage, I was lucky enough to meet with him and chat for a bit. He is very nice in person, with a great sense of humor.

I like the idea of using the nude figures in this series on dreaming because how many times have you found yourself naked in your dreams? Naked and late for work or class in public and no time to go back home and get dressed? Being naked in a dream means that we are feeling vulnerable.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Playmates

Front and back made from the DS9 DVD case. Top punched for Circa/Rolla discs for ease of writing by a lefty. The edges can be kind of sharp, so I corner rounded this one.

So, yeah, I decided to get the last couple of Aurora repops that I needed to fill out the original 13 monster kits (the last one, The Forgotten Prisoner of Castle Mare, will be coming when he's rereleased early next year.) I know that I wasn't originally all that interested in them, but I saw some pictures of them painted up really nicely, and that changed my mind (though I don't think there's much on the planet that can make me decide to go forward and try to get all of the Monsters of the Movies and Monster Scene kits; I've never been too impressed with them.) In addition, I also finally got the Polar Lights Michael Myers for a not-ridiculous price, and I snagged a smaller-scale Screamin' Freddy Krueger and a repop of the old Alien model for prices so low I'm almost ashamed of taking advantage of them. Almost. Then, lastly, I got the repop of the DS9 kit, since my old one got broken and tossed into the garbage years and years ago. On that note, I'm hoping someone does a decent set of decals for the 1/2500 Defiant included in this kit; the decals provided are waaaaaay too bare bones.

UPDATE: THE TIME IS NOW! I will start to release my collection this week so if interested now is the time to get in contact. :)

.

Tickets for "STAR TREK: The Experience" which was a feature of the Las Vegas Hilton from 1998 to 2008, but has been dismantled after being shut down for a while then losing the license (though it looks as if it might have a rebirth in 2012... if the world doesn't end then :D).

There were two different kinds of tickets and both are shown in the surrounding photos of my Flickr stream along with a hotel room key card.

All are from 2003, before the "Borg Invasion" feature was added in 2004.

More photos from The Stars in this photo set.

~~

All these (and more) need new homes as I'm going to a different country for an extended stay soon so send me a Flickr Mail message (access through the arrow that appears near my profile photo when mousing over it, or click on the little tan envelope that appears on my profile page) if interested.

What is this? Well, a key card for a room at the Las Vegas Hilton where, "STAR TREK: The Experience" was housed (until it wasn't).

Come on, they expected the cards to not be returned or they wouldn't have put Star Trek on them. :D
