The fantastic Deep Space Nine station from Star Trek as a model from BlueBrixx. A little bit tricky to be built, but at the end a great set which will find a place in my space area :-)

* Deep Space 9: Orinoco (1994)
After finishing The Next Generation, I decided to start watching Deep Space Nine, and boy was it a good show! Very underrated in its time, Deep Space Nine took a unique twist on the Star Trek drama that had never been seen before. At first I was hesitant because I thought remaining on a space station would be boring, but it turned out to be better than anything I could have imagined. Where TNG gave exciting adventures on exotic planets, DS9 gave real character development making you care for the characters on a deeper level. Relationships between characters like Bashir and O’Brien felt real.
Speaking of which, here is one of my favorite DS9 characters, Dr Julian Bashir! I decided to include both of his DS9 outfits as I thought it’d be appropriate. Everything here is completely painted by me, especially the face which took ages to get just right. The hair is sanded down on the sides, and the torsos and arms are completely painted by me. Please share and enjoy!

Well I made two more Star Trek characters into Brickheadz! Captain Sisko and Major Kira! Not sure if I’ll make the rest of the DS9 crew any time soon… but maybe one day ;)

For Christmas 2012 I decided it was time for my Star Trek starship ornaments to get their own tree. The list of ships includes the original Enterprise, the shuttlecraft Galileo, the Next Generation Enterprise, Deep Space Nine's Defiant, and Voyager. And of course the tree is topped with Ilia from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Chase Masterson was recently named one of the "50 Sexiest Women of the Year" by Femme Fatales Magazine and one of the "Hot Leading Ladies" of film by Film Fetish for her role in the upcoming Yesterday Was a Lie. Chase's huge, international fan base saw her rise from a four-line role in one episode to a five-year story arc, which prompted USA Networks to begin Chase's hosting career with a news-magazine talk show, Sci-Fi Entertainment. OPERATION CALL HOME
...is a grass roots campaign started by a Semper Fidelis Detachment Marine Corp League in Wenonah, NJ, to aid United States Military Service members serving overseas and at home.
Calling cards have been collected since February 2003 when the Iraqi Freedom War began.
Bill McGinnis, ( father of Marine Sergeant Brian McGinnis, killed in Iraq on March 30, 2003, after his helicopter crashed.) joined forces with the Marine Corp League, in June 2003, who recognized a need for servicemen to call home.
He never received a telephone call from his son and wanted to give other parents their chance to speak with their children in any United States service throughout the world.
Through his efforts, he has been able to bring media attention to this campaign and now tens of thousands of cards have been donated overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, veterans hospitals, and reserve units stationed across the United States.

Lil Penny: Mm-MM! I know that's gotta be good!
Luke: We'll dry roast some corn on the cob and this is gonna be a down-home Hazzard feast.

Over the weekend I got into a conversation about Star Trek with a couple of friends, one of whom had only the vaguest knowledge about the franchise. In my attempts to explain the various series and movies I realised that my own knowledge of how they all fit together chronologically was fairly sketchy - a situation that simply couldn't stand! So I went home and knocked up a fairly dodgy infographic to explain it all.
It should be fairly self explanatory. I've only included time travel elements from the movies, as trying to plot all the various time jumps, temporal visitations and general futzing around with history that absolutely everyone in the Trek universe seems to get up to when they're bored would take forever.
This entire thing is undoubtedly nerdy, but at least I didn't try and make it look like an Okudagram :)
LATER: OK, Star Trek: Into Darkness didn't come out until 2013. So sue me! ;D

"The Doomsday Machine" is a second-season episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. In the episode, the Enterprise must go up against a giant planet killing machine.
This is an original model of that machine that someone at the Star Trek Convention had created. It is made primarily of chicken wire and aluminum foil, and then painted. I think this is so creative! The one who made this did a fantastic job!
