Finished in the mid '90's and been in storage for the last 20 years. Resurrected and given a fresh paint job, apart from the head and hands which are still in the original paint finish.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine figure, Playmates

No sooner than the Defiant gets underway to the wormhole, it's struck by a rogue plasma blast from the very spacial distortion it was sent out to investigate.

This was actually a happy "accident". I was doing some nighttime photography with the models, and spill light from my light source used to give a "warm" glow to the station was caught in the shot. Originally, I was going to try to just black it all out, but then I decided it looked like it just blasted the Defiant, so I just worked with it. It's not a perfect shot, by any means, but I like the effect.

Yes, I am a Trekkie of long standing.

This one has minimal editing, mostly cloning out the cat hair and string I used to hang it.

I watched the newest Star Trek movie on DVD.............again. Always inspired by seeing the Enterprise on the big screen, I decided to break out a couple of models and "play" for a bit.
