Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plant often noted for their showy flowers.

Health use- The tea is popular as a natural diuretic; it contains vitamin C and minerals, and is used as a mild medicine.

A set of 4 stitch markers. These are made with matte swirl red beads. I love the deep red of these beads. These stitch markers are great for crochet and also can be used for knitting

Although some purists might object to this image not showing the whole flower, I feel it gives enough information for an impression of the whole flower, without stating all of it. Consider this an experiment in close cropping.

This upload doesn't reveal the full detail: a velvety texture of cells can be seen in the petals, and pollen grains are resolved in the centre of the flower.

Look out for: At least three 'white fly' on the flower. I could have cloned these out, but they didn't spoil the image.

Info: ISO-100, 1.8s, f/22, +1.0 EV, tripod, no flash, indoors, natural light.

I have been uploading photos of rhododendrons, other flowers and ferns that are in Homestead Park here in University Place, Washington, in an attempt to log what is actually to be found there.
