A young woman I know read to me yesterday a poem from her journal.
I have know this "child" for twenty years...
so to you Becky....
We were never meant
to be alone...
Not even in the ways
we make ourselves exactly that.
Life is far to wonderful
not to share!
And since the dawn of creation
"alone" has never been
God's intent.
Even I, at forty six,
still believe this...
Where do I start with this one? First of all ,in all humility, this shot made me think of Michael. I happen to be a big fan of his shots of parts of buildings and streets in China....so this is my inadequate homage to him! This is a photo of part of a painting done by my niece, hanging on her wall.....something spoke to me here. Beyond all that, Michael's portraits of his life in China defy description.....I am moved by every shot ! So I raise my cup of green tea to you Michael.....your kindness to me and other fledgling photographers (note my utter amazement when I got that first note from you ,when Lee-Ann accidentally invited me to the 99 ..... not asking me nicely to leave.....but actually welcoming me to stay!!!!!)....I promise when I get more comfortable with my new Nikon.....that I will try very hard to live up to the amazing quality of the folks around me....thanks Michael!
