Friends of ours gave us this "bird house." A gourd that still had seeds in it... Well, this bird is proud to call it his home... And I told our friends that if a bird comes along that I would take photos...
These three shots are a pattern the bird repeated over and over... step three: check for danger before flying to get another stick

Representatives from the Warrior Brigade had the honor of participating in the rededication of 1SG Samuel K. Solomon Elementary School in honor of 1SG Samuel Solomon, a Wolfhound Soldier who gave his life in service to our nation during the Vietnam War. Among those in attendance were Hawaii Governor David Ige, 25th Infantry Division Commander MG James Jarrard, USARHAW Commander Col. Thomas Barrett, Wolfhound Commander LTC Lou Kangas and Mrs. Virginia Solomon and her son, John Solomon. The rededication was 50 years to the day of the original school dedication.
LTC Kangas, 1-27 IN BN “Wolfhounds” Commander, gave remarks on how 1SG Solomon’s example and his personification of our Army Values continues to resonate with our Tropic Lightning Soldiers and students today.
The Wolfhound command team then had the privilege of showing Mrs. Virginia Solomon and her family around the Battalion Area.
We honor the legacy of the Warrior heroes who have gone before us and strive to live up to their example every day.
