dedicated to Willigis Jäger
www.br.de/nachrichten/bayern/benediktinerpater-und-zen-me...
I didn't know about Willigis Jäger until recently when I started practicing with a local meditation group; they've become friends while I went through a rather difficult time and the regular Sunday evening practice became something to cherish and look forward to. Too little I know about Willigis Jäger, but I feel he would agree with Rupert Spira who a few days ago recorded this small but profound message:
the prayer I mean is not an asking for something, it is rather a withdrawing into one's inner silence, where the influence of senses and thoughts, through practice, become weaker and weaker ...
here is some more, for those inclined:

"You do not make a photograph just with a camera. You put in the picture all the pictures you have seen, books you read, the music you hear and the people you loved."
Ansel Adams
"Tu non fai una fotografia solo con la macchina fotografica. Tu metti nella fotografia tutte le immagini che hai visto, i libri che hai letto, la musica che hai sentito e le persone che hai amato."
Ansel Adams
There are days when I think of my father, and I miss him.
It is not the day of his birth nor of his death, it is an ordinary day in which comes back to me. It is not easy growing up in a family with lots of brothers, in which it is grown as a chicken coop. Food, clothes, education and very little listen.
Especially when you're in the middle of the tribes (in age) and you're never the biggest or the smallest. I think we could do or say more, but I understand that it was not easy. Now I miss the village wise, now we could have spoken ....
Forgive this personal narrative,(and my english) maybe this place is becoming really the book of my life ....
I wish you a great week : )
Thank you for stopping by....

Adashino Nenbutsu-ji (化野念仏寺 Adashino Nenbutsuji) is a Buddhist temple in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan. In 811 Kūkai is said to have founded a temple, then Honen altered it to the present Nenbutsuji. Situated high on a hill overlooking the city from the northwest, it sits in an area where since the Heian period people abandoned the bodies of the dead, exposing them to the wind and rain. Now, some eight thousand Buddhist statuettes, which had been scattered around Adashino then collected about 1903, memorialize the souls of the dead. During its well-known 'sento kuyo', a ceremony dedicated to the spirits of the dead, about ten thousand stone statues are lit up with candles. (Wikipedia)
Dedicated Photographer stands precariously perched upon the cliffs of Whyte Islet, approx 50-60 ft above water level. (Height is a guess)
Temperatures were almost freezing and the forecast was calling for snow.
Whyte Islet is a very small island on the shore of Howe Sound. People hike across the rocks to climb upon this hidden West Vancouver gem. Being aware of the changing tide is very important....the rocky path leading from the beach can quickly disappear when the tide comes in. Many people have been left stranded high and dry on this cute little island. The waterline indicates the water depth reached.
For a broader perspective, please see the previous images.

Whytecliff Park is located near West Vancouver's Horseshoe Bay Neighbourhood, the original name of which was White Cliff City, which opened in 1909. In 1914, Colonel Albert Whyte pressed for the spelling change from White Cliff City to Whytecliff. The Whytecliff area is now distinct from Horseshoe Bay. The park, originally Rockcliffe Park, was developed by W.W. Boultbee in 1926, and a private access road was cut from the Marine Drive highway at Batchelor Bay.
The fifty acre Boultbee estate was purchased by the Union Steamship Company in 1939 and the company operated a Bowen Island Ferry from Whytecliff during 1939-41 and 1946-1952
The park is currently home to more than 200 marine animal species and is the first Marine Protected Area in Canada. Sea lions can be seen sunbathing on the beach during summer.

Darwin, AUSTRÀLIA 2023
The Esplanade overlooking Darwin Harbour in Darwin Northern Territory Australia
The Esplanade overlooking Darwin Harbour with approx. 3klm of paved walk ways surrounded by lush green lawns and palms.
There are many places of interest such as the 200 Territorians On the cliff top running parallel to the Esplanade is a series of commemorative tiles dedicated to 200 typical Territorians.
They are not all famous figures, but they all performed jobs upon which the Territory relied.
There are people such as Ah Toy's, the greengrocers from which vegetables were shipped all over the ‘Top End' by air freight.
There are stockmen and missionaries, politicians and aboriginal leaders.
Then there is Eddie Connellan, who ran the Territory airline Connair (unofficial motto, ‘There's no tellin' with Connellan'), and many other colourful characters.
There is also the World War 11 reminders of what darwin experience many years ago. From the Espanade at the end it adjoins the road past the Administrators House.
As you walk or drive alond the esplanade you look out over to darwin Harbour and often you see large Live Cargo ships, Luxury passenger Ships and even Oil Rig Platforms coming and going thru the habour. 'Only in Darwin'.
As always so hard to get lost as the Esplanade is virtually a striaght strip of land for app. 3klm until it bends around Government House to the back of the bus terminal general area.
The Esplanade as it gently bends around Parliament House.
Then up past the Administrators office and Dameo Ra Pathway steps
The Esplanade then continues on and becomes Harry Chan Avenue where it is known mainly as the offices for Darwin City Council. Just after Smith Street finishes at.
The Esplanade the there is a noticable picturesque shaded road veering off right down the hill.
This is Hughes Road and leads to the Wharf Precinct. At the bottom of this road turn left for Stokes Hill Wharf and the cafes or right for Fort Hill Wharf.
