one half of a project for a visual narrative class, which explores landscape vs. city scape.

this is landscape, and landscape is being a bitch, a deceptive one

Used three very different pictures to make this bastard. None of them would align properly. I tried getting rid of all the duplicate people by either:

1. Turning them into brand new people!

2. Cloning them out of reality

3. Blurring to instill a sense of motion/confusion/movement.

First time trying something like this though, hopefully it looks good.

As Deception Creep flows through the forest on its way to meet the Tye River it makes a abrupt thunderous right angle bend in the weather resistant granitic rock. These images were made just below that rock formation. On this morning the sun was illuminating the mist. I spent some time and made a number of images as the mist came and went. I processed these images in several different ways. This is a high-key edit emphasizing the bright morning sunlight.

Arcane Deception is a melodic death metal band formed in November 2008. The band members had been playing in different bands before they came together to form AD. 19 June 08 -- Lucy and Monica heading down the steep trail that leads to the "beach" at Deception Pass. The layers of greenery are so thick that it's like being in a triple-canopy jungle, very dark and cool. Some of the trees are incredibly tall and so big around that it takes 4 hippies joining hands to hug them.
