Sunset over Deception Bay

The infamous Deception Pass Bridge, going from Fildago Island to Whidbey Island. Taken from North Beach, looking East towards Fildago Island.

A 3-panel design that I used as an example during a Photoshop class I was teaching on how to do this to your photos.

One of the many new towers in London. It makes me think how impressive the original Tower of London must have been for anyone making their way into London up the Thames to see the castle dominate the view.

We saw the sign for this place and decided to stop and see how far we would have to hike to see the actual falls. Turns out the answer was "about 100 feet."

Insight into character comes from listening intently to the spoken word. The physical person, their charisma, charm and dramatic flair is more often used to persuade audiences, as they use these stealth tools of disguise and deception.

A beautiful evening storm at north beach, Deception Pass State Park. I captured several different shots of the massive waves coming in and receding. This particular one was my favorite with the rushing water stopping just inches from my camera lens before receding!

"The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,

And I have many curious things to show when you are there.”

“Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “to ask me is in vain,

For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

1 Timothy 4:1 ESV

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits

Matthew 24:11 ESV

And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.

Matthew 24:5 ESV

For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.

The state parks and trails are opened up again in Washington. Maybe that's a good idea. Maybe it's not. But this is from then.

It's also more hand-held Crown Graphic shots. There's a rule of thumb about using the focual length of a camera to determine if you should shoot it hand-held.

Basically, if you have a 100mm lens, you should shoot it at 1/100sec or faster. If you have a 200mm lens, you should shoot it at 1/200 or faster. You can the idea.

Anyway, this is a 135mm lens and I handheld it at 1/100sec. I probably shouldn't have. I don't fully trust shutters over 1/100sec though. Basically any shutter. But I should shoot this at at least 1/200sec., if not 1/400.

We'll see.
