I have just finished work on Christmas Eve and drop into Derby station for a few minutes before heading home and capture East Midlands Trains 222103 departing with 1F28, 11:26 St Pancras - Sheffield, 24th December 2014. On the left in one of the sidings is 31601 gently “ticking over” as it is prepared for a Christmas Holiday in Scotland on the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway and will shortly depart light engine as 0Z31, 13:31 Derby – Bo’ness.

it's funny when you come in slightly drunk at 2:30 in the morning and the first thing you think about is taking your w_r picture for the day. so i have always had a kind of negative idea of ann taylor stuff, but went shopping there with ann today and was surprised to find something i liked. also, vanity sizing - yeah! and cheap. wore this out tonight.
The Yashica Mimy is a nice pocketable half-frame camera with a Yashinon
f/2.8, 2.8 cm lens. Too bad you can't focus it. This is another shot
from a roll I shot last December. It's not a river, but part of a pretty
substantial path that leads across an old piece of land my family has
owned for eighty years. The water is a puddle, granted a large puddle,
in the path.
I was taking some Winter pics in Hyde, turned around saw this scene and new immediately where i would go with it- a Winter painting image. A gentleman kindly turned up in a nice blue Jacket.
An oft-photographed subject of mine through the years of path-steps below the school where I teach leading to the ponds. Do a search for "Steps" in my stream and you'll find five previous versions.
