It had been 3 years and a half since we last had experienced snow.
And it was kind of nice.
And yes, this short looks very much like the last one (which was in Vancouver, BC). But we didn't get snow there so we had to go for the real thing and try again.
My climbing rose is still flowering.....a little smaller than the summer blooms, she is only about 2 inches in diameter but still a joy to see amongst the desolation of dead things in the garden :-)
So happy today when I checked my mailbox I got a big package from Japan! When I opened it, it's a Japanese travel magazine where one of my shots from Flickr is featured in their December 2007 edition. Even that was only a small contribution, they also listed my name in their contributors page!

One wonders if the cast iron bench ends are truly of Great Western Railway origin or are modern day imitations, Bristol Temple Meads, 19th December 2017.
The business end of Corporation Bridge, Grimsby on the 9th December 2016. The bridge crosses part of Alexandra Dock in Grimsby and is an electrically powered lifting road bridge built on the Scherzer rolling lift bridge principle. It was built in 1925 to the design of Alfred C. Gardner, docks engineer of the London and North Eastern Railway and was formally opened by the Prince of Wales (Edward VIII), commemorated on a plaque on the bridge. Although this part of Alexandra Dock is now virtually inactive of shipping, the bridge is still occasionally lifted for testing purposes.
