Wow, can't believe how long ago this was !! My every day clothing in a period when I was en femme full time... only went back to boy mode as I had to go back to work.....

My wife's mother made this ornament in 1967, and it, along with many other ornaments she made, has been hanging on our Christmas tree every year since.

The leave fall season is nearly over and unlike 2018 I have yet to photograph the local railhead treatment train. Maybe this is due to the change of traction this year from a pair of Colas Class56 to a pair of DB Class 66 or the lack of decent weather. However today the 4th December 2019 is nice and bright and with a couple of hours spare I decided to give it a go. With DB 66111 leading the East Midlands RHTT (3J87) passes over the M1 motorway at Trowell, On a typical day 3J87 departs Toton at around 05:00 and visits Crewe, Nottingham, Mansfield, Worksop, Nottingham, Lincoln, Market Rasen, Nottingham and returns to Toton around 16:30 after a journey of 320 miles.
After twenty four years on cross London suburban Thameslink duties 319369 has moved to the North West following the electrification of various routes in the area. It is seen here on the 20th December 2016 at Liverpool Lime Street working 1H46, 10:16 Liverpool – Manchester Airport.
Unit History
The class 319 units were built for the new north south cross London duties from the Midland Main Line to Southern Region destinations made possible by the reopening and electrification of the short link from Farringdon to Blackfriars. The units were built with a dual electrification capability (25kVA ac, 750v dc) and were built in two batches in 1987/88 and 1990. 319369 is from the second batch of twenty six units, built in 1990, which were classified class 319/1 and was originally 319169. These units were numbered in the range 319161–186. The formation of the second batch of units was similar to that of the earlier batch, except there was provision for first-class seating in one of the driving vehicles and the motor vehicles are fitted with a more modern Bracknell Willis High Speed pantograph. In the period 1997-98 the class 319/1 units had the first class compartments removed and renumbering into the 3193xx series.
