This hummingbird looks like he has been busy feeding at flowers in the area. He has lots of pollen on his bill and forehead. Black-chinned hummingbirds nest in the Dave Mountains of West Texas. I wish he picked the branch closest to me to perch!
For my ongoing bird-a-day project for 2017.
Thank all for the faves and nice comments

ninja toes of destruction..

Day 114
I got to work earlier than usual today so I thought of starting my day with a quiet walk at the park. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, no rain in sight, chilly but sunny. When most of us rush every morning to go to work or wherever destination we have to be on a certain time, a few minutes of silence to say our prayer or commune with nature is priceless! I was enveloped with serenity as I strolled around and enjoyed the beauty of nature. I am lucky that my work place is close to a lovely park. I can have a "green moment" anytime I want :-)
So while I was taking a walk, the sun was up magnificently. I was able to consume enough sunshine to brighten and energize my day inside my work place. My morning experience was truly rejuvenating! HGGT:-)

I remember going to Inarajan pool when I was younger. My family and I would go around the island and this would be our stopover to eat brunch. It was nice and I wanted to jump off the dive. They took out the ladder or rope to climb the jump. Darn it. Next time. Maybe I will bring a ladder with me :). My uncle was talking about how my grandpa loved going here and it was his favorite spot. I miss him so. This place is beautiful but it was hot! LOL! The place has changed after how many typhoons!
Back to studying.
Good night! Sweet dreams! :)

This is actually a cheat... I didn't take any photos on day 113 in 2021. First time in almost 2 years that I didn't pick up the camera for one shot. I was busy doing other things. I did do this post processing on day 113, so I will put it here.
Day 114 - 365/2023 - A Never-Ending Journey
------------------------------------------------------------------
In the morning I will be having another knee surgery.
Revising a total replacement from 15 years ago.
Almost to the day, one year ago I had a total hip replacement. Looking forward to better days ahead and better walking experiences in the future. There are so many more photographs to take and being able to walk again without constant pain will be a joy. Hope to be back soon... the phone will be going with me into the hospital, so my 365 project can continue without a hitch.
I'll be back.
We were up bright and early on the camp site this morning so I took the opportunity to photograph the morning dew drops that had settled in the field of clover that we were camped in....I really liked this one as it looks like a little crystal ball.
Happy Easter Slider's Sunday everyone !!
Edit: I have just realised that today's ODC theme is 'Treasure' and this is definitely a little treasure !
I will be trying my very best to catch up with everyone's photostream's asap !
Thank you for stopping to view my image, comments and faves very much appreciated :o)
Today I ended with four shots that I liked and had a hard time deciding which one to go with. Finally went with this one, you can check the other ones in the collage..

The twins react in shock as they find the photo of Uncle Joe's fateful trip to South Texas. Imagine their horror when they found the home videos.

Yes, it has come to this...
This odd shaped tater was saved from meeting its end in a batch of baked fries for this peculiar photo shoot.

As promised, here is a water drop collision within a rather psychedelic looking water drip tray!
This took rather a long time to produce as I was running out of hands! I needed one hand to stir the water, one to regulate the droplets falling and another one to trip the shutter! I was lucky I had enough! :)

There was a Nor'west arch over the plains that precluded much sunshine today, apart from when the sun got below the cloud layer for five minutes before disappearing behind the mountains.
The roof on one of the flats across the road from where I live.

A relaxing Mothers Day spent in the garden with wifey and Pep. All the usual formalities despatched this morning and so it was time to soak up some Spring sunshine. Pepper joined in too and was more than happy to kick back and relax.
Day 114 done relaxingly...
given the frigid temperature and snow conditions in the midwest which are both moving east, the ducky decided to dress in his warmest fleece :)....

This is my new picture for my 365 project for the weekly theme "Spaceship".
So; what I would take on my spaceship tour without taking any things with me, except memorabilia in pictures?
Just a photo remembering the good flickr time taking and commentig pictures with you; and naturally what lenses may do and can.
Btw., love the fine vignette and crisp focus with this 30 years old, manual lens - for me a great bokehlicious state of art.
Captured with a Nikon Df and a manual Nikkor Ai 35mm ƒ1:1.4, post processed in Lightroom using VSCO Film.
Please don't spam my photo thread! Comments with awards or photos will be removed immediately!
And when you're on that spaceship - in that small metal vehicle - feeling alone and isolated - remember that people back home voluntarily put themselves in miniature versions of the spaceship. Each with it's own atmosphere and climate control, and each listening to different music or news or talk or just the sounds of the road. Millions of people each so close to others but each so isolated and alone...
