Another Knock Off I picked up in a lot. This was a gee-wiz figure that was an added bonus to the ones I really wanted. For what & who it is, the figure is very well printed.
The brochure says that Savannah's Fort James Jackson is the oldest-standing brick fortress in Georgia. It is roughly two miles east of the port city of Savannah that it was meant to protect. Fort Jackson strategically played second-fiddle to the more technologically advanced Fort Pulaski, which was a few more miles east at the mouth of the Savannah River.
Fort Pulaski fell to the United States early in the Civil War thanks to a blindsided Confederate military command. [In fairness to the Confederacy, the Confederate command excused their gross dismissal of a gradual Union buildup adjacent to the fort, their weak supply chain, and their abject failure to hold onto the extraordinarily strategic position of Fort Pulaski, saying that their military intelligence had not anticipated going up against new-technological rifle cannons of the United States that could shoot further and more accurately than traditional cannons.]
Quiet Fort Jackson remained. It became the river headquarters of the Confederate military. The fort was meant to be a killer of any U.S. ship that dared come up its section of the Savannah River. The fort was abandoned by Confederate troops when the United States Army of Tennessee and Army of Georgia under the command of General William Tecumseh Sherman marched into Savannah from Atlanta.

The rope she was holding broke. I added linear blur since this must be how she sees things from the ground.
See the light ahead. With desire you can make that wish come true- It's up to you. Dare to dream an eagle's dream. Dare to fly on your own wings. Dare yourself, oh dare yourself to be, Dare to reach. See the vision of what you can be- You're a child of God. Choicest spirit- everlasting destiny Waits for thee.

This is cliche I know and everyone was doing it which is the best reason to do anything. I thought watching the people doing their "holding up the tower" pictures was a highlight of visiting the tower.
One of the places I stopped at was Walgreens, and there I found these cute princess figures on clearance for $3 each. They've been there for like a year or something but were always $6, and I'm cheap and not paying full price. But for $3 I totally picked them up.
I like them! It's nice how they're not tiny, most princess figures are like 2-3'' but these are 6'' or so. And their faces are actually printed pretty nicely! They had Tink too but as much as I love the character, her figure was kinda creepy. The back of the box says they make Belle too but I didn't see her, maybe if I come across her at another one I'll buy her.
I really want more princesses like this but I'm not holding my breath on any more showing up, the box says Series 1 but considering they've had these for so long and I've never seen any others... I doubt they ever actually made a Series 2. But I'm still happy with my find and these two will probably hang out on my shelves with my princess dolls. They're cute!
... that's what he is not.
We have four little kitties and he is a little coward. All the others are playing outside, but he prefers to stay inside, safely - nevertheless looking longingly outside.
Just as I revisited Delta Squad, I will be revisiting My ODST Squad.
I decided to start with Dare!
Consider this a preview pic :)

We need to dare to accept ourselves just as we are. We need to dare to love ourselves. It all starts with oneself as without accepting and loving oneself, how can we truly love someone else.
This is my new baby! She is a peanut colored resin Ino and I named her.......Peanut!
OMG.....I love her!!!!!
King's Lane, Cambridge. This is the first time I've uploaded the same image but with a different crop and treatment. Take your pick: the previous wideangle or this one! Actually, both are strong images, I think. Similar but different as well:-)
Dare to walk this one-metre wide alley by yourself at night with no street light.

Once you were there, but your trace is disapearing in the dark. Do I dare to follow...
About:
It has been snowing quite a bit in Oslo the past days, this lonely lamp with snowy footprints in the background made a funny motif :)

Post Process
First I worked on the shadows, highlights, contrast, clarity, vibrance and saturation in the Photoshop Topaz plugin. Then I converted it to black & white and finally applied a little yellow tone in the shadows and a blue tone in the highlights :)
Thanks
