I chose to do a lifted blacks thing for the base to give this a little more of a film feel. I'm not sure if I'm 100% happy with the final look, and I'll definitely make it a point to be centered next time, since the framing is driving me batty, but beyond that, I'm pretty pleased.

Here is our spooky friend Dummy Dan, a vintage ventriloquist dummy made in the 1930s by the Ralph A. Freundlich company. He has an articulated mouth, and is still dressed in his dapper suit. Composition head and hands, cloth body. So cool!
