So I am going down the Danforth and I see another xtracycle. First time I saw another one while I was riding one. I couple minutes later I ran into the owner and we had a nice chat about how xtracycles rule!

The Danforth Butterfly Garden was dedicated on October 10, 1996, in memory of Elizabeth "Ibby" Gray Danforth. The garden was designed by June Hutson, the outdoor project coordinator at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

The University of Washington College of Education's Danforth Educational Leadership Program hosted UCEA scholars and program contributors in January 2018 for a deep dive into Danforth's current programmatic practices in principal preparation.

The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs held its annual Arbor Day celebration at Danforth Middle School. Mayor Stephanie Miner was on hand and read the Arbor Day proclamation and the entire sixth grade class planted 18 10-foot tall trees on school grounds.

Danforth students learned about the value of urban forests in the classroom and outdoors led by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County and the Onondaga Earth Corps. Onondaga Earth Corps is a community-based, youth development and employment organization that has planted over 1000 trees in the City of Syracuse.
