Dance performance “Care” by Helena Krinal & United Dancers of Zuga.

The dance performance “Care” focuses on how difficult, easy, depressing, and uplifting it is to care for someone else.

The collaboration between Zuga and Helena Krinal, which started by chance, turned out to be so interesting and enriching for both parties that they have now been researching and creating together for six years and have reached their third performance – “Care”. Previously, they created “Noise” (2019) and “Shame” (2021). “Noise” was nominated for the Estonian Theatre Award in the dance performance category in 2020.

Led by the Estonian Dance Agency and local cultural organizers, TantsuMENÜÜ brings dance performances all over Estonia.

Theater - Hangzhou, China. Fog, lasers, and colored lighting swirled around the dancers for this effect. It proved an extraordinary production.

Pictures with Zeke, Joaquin, Garett and Andy at their house. The kids are Jewish, Mestiza (Mexican Indian/Spanish) and Cherokee. I love taking pictures of siblings, but it was also neat to work with brothers. Somehow I managed to get a bunch of sisters together, but this is the first brother set. They're the same as girls in the sense that they are young and respond well to the camera. I like how two brothers can have the same parents but such different hair. I suppose that will also be more evident when I put my eventual self portraits up with Rachael's.

Joaquin was a total ham. You can see in some pictures he's literally dancing in the background. Or the foreground. But hammy kids always love the camera, so I love them. Zeke, the older boy was not as energized, but he had a quiet brooding intensity that photographed well, too. I've learned so much about working with young people on this project. I can say I'm a fan of their energy and passion.

'Het Speulderbos' is called ' the forest of the dancing trees'. The forest is not just mysterious, it is also very rare. It's a paradise for birds (of prey), deer, badgers and wild boars. So there is enough choice to have a good time!

The longer I live the more I believe

You do have to give if you want to receive

There's a time to listen, a time to talk

And you might have to crawl even after you walk...

Had sure things blow up in my face

Seen the longshot, win the race

Been knocked down by the slamming door

Picked myself up and came back for more

A Dance Fly on Prairie Dock. At least I think that's what it is. The bug, not the flower. There sure are a lot of different flies!! Feel free to correct me on either of the fly posts I put up today.

These are beneficial flies to have around. They not only eat nectar but also mosquitoes!!

They also have some strange mating rituals. In mating swarms, males fly up and down in a sort of dance. They have captured an insect, wrapped it in silk, and hold as an offering for females. Females seem to choose the male with the most enticing offering. Sometimes a male may offer just an empty ball of silk!
