I got a new recipe of cupcakes. I got a try! They are so good! I made snack tray with Double-sided card-stock paper. (They are so good for gift or share homemade baking, especially holiday season with holiday theme card-stock paper! My favorite!) Also, I got a tin of tea. I had a great tea time.

He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross.
This is a fairly tight crop, and yes, I know the sky is chaotic. I guess that's what happens when you leave the shutter open for 104 seconds. Next time I'd like to shoot this again but frame it this way to get better resolution on the castle.

For Our Daily Challenge: Round.
This is a upload for a thread. Taken at sunrise in Newcastle, north of Sydney, Australia.
Nice to see this family workhorse parked up at Alexandra Palace doing a quick drop off before it pootled of smelling distinctly of petrol. Love these old things, especially in GLT form with those alloys and (hopefully) comfy leather heated seats.

This was tough as there's not much blooming in Finland this early and I only had my phone with me. Nevertheless, I like the result :-)
Had to do some creative editing in Lightroom to make the image presentable.
While capturing this scene in the streets of Hanoi, I wanted to seize this daily dance between tradition and modernity. The street vendor, protected by their transparent raincoat and sun hat, stands out against a wall of urban graffiti - this visual collision is precisely what I was looking for. I chose black and white to transcend the anecdotal and reach for the universal: the daily struggle, the dignity of work, the persistence of traditional ways in a rapidly modernizing world. Waiting in the rain for the precise moment when the vendor would cross the pedestrian crossing, I wanted to create a composition where the lines on the ground, the bicycle's silhouette, and the geometry of the metal shutters would structure the image while leaving room for the poetry of the moment. It's a tribute to these invisible workers who keep Hanoi's heart beating.
Portrait of a semi-nomadic woman with her daily load of wood (Chad).
Arab community has been in Chadian territory for hundreds of years, mostly in south central Chad.
Despite their widespread diffusion, these Arabs represent a single ethnic group composed of a multitude of tribes.
The Arabs of Chad are semisedentary (or seminomadic) peoples who herd their camels, horses, cattle, goats, and sheep on the plains in the Chad lake area.
In the region around N'Djamena some Arabs have adopted a more settled existence.
In the rainy season, Arab groups spread out through the region; in the dry season, they live a more settled existence, usually on the dormant agricultural lands of their sedentary neighbors.
A while ago I saw this daily calendar puzzle and I have wanted one ever since. I could not find it in a store near me so I built one of LEGO instead! Every date of the year should be possible to build but I have not tried myself. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used. Dates can be printed on a piece of paper and placed at the bottom of the puzzle.
The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.

The standard morning visit of L517 happens with a standard Dash 9. The February snowfall record has fallen and I'm standing atop a snow pile in the back yard. February 23, 2019.

My pictures "chronicle" my crossdressing life, at home. I don't feel much like going out to "see the world" anymore. Certainly not alone. There was a time when I needed to push myself out, to meet other girls, to go to places. I learned a lot from this expoerience but it seems I lost that flame? At any rate, the whole month of January 2022, here, in Eastern Canada, has been very cold, typicallty -25C : don't feel like freezing outdoors... It's as though Jaqueline is "hibernating"... Waiting for Spring to spread her wings anew!
