This swan, by the River Test at Mottisfont, treated me to a view of a full 6 minute preening session.

I hardly ever use the burst function on my camera as it mostly results in a boring trawl through not very much. But the swan's resolve quickly dissolved my reluctance, so here is a small selection from my one hundred and five shots.

I understand that preening is usually a social activity but this swan always seems to be alone in the grounds of Mottisfont Abbey, so likely has lost its mate.

Happy new week to come!

November 7: (Part of) My Daily Routine

ATSH November..."I ate this"

Daily life in Suvereto, a small Italian city. Laundry is hanging out of the windows for drying. Do you know how people get the laundry on the line? Tuscany, 2019.

Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!

Latte. Esspresso. Flat white. Piccolo. Americano. Cappucino. You name it. The day cannot begin without it. We all have our rituals and the day does not feel right if we don't observe these rituals. Small ones or big ones. With or without sugar. With or without coffee art. Now the day can begin. But don't rush. Stay one more minute and just look around you. Sip that last sip of coffee, scoop up the foam at the bottom of the cup (I always do it, no exceptions - this is my favourite part!) and take a deep breath. Now the day is complete.

Etta & David at the top of the steps. David doesn't usually sit here with her so she was a little confused :))

Day 27

2of 2

Yesterday I happened to be in the right place at the right time to see the sun come up behind these hilltop trees, and it took my breath away! So I went at the same time today to photograph it!

I find it reassuring to experience how the light returns after darkness.

Beautiful restoration in green. This truck is a super daily driver. HTT!

Daily shopping... at the market stall.

Doing my morning rounds at the farm. #countrylife #dairy #fresh

Last post of a daily life picture of Suvereto, a small Italian city. An old woman looking for contact with the people on the street. Half an hour later when we came back she was still there. Tuscany, 2019.

Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!

Etta & other dogs at Lawson Dog Park. A unique dog park, I think, because it's a disused 9 hole Golf Course on the edge of bushland.

Daily Dog Challenge: Unique

Etta is certainly unique😂as are all the other dogs and they know it by smell; AND this dog park is unique🐾💕
